For short films in the Mobile or Tablet category:
Jury Award Category, chosen by a jury composed of industry professionals, which will grant cash prizes to the three best short films: €500 for third place, €1,000 for second place, and €1,500 for first place.
Audience Award Category, chosen by the general public through votes cast on the website www.premiosbonobo.com
, which will decide the three best short films: €500 for third place, €1,000 for second place, and €1,500 for first place.
Both categories are compatible and cumulative. Public announcements will be made through the festival website.
Short Films – Pro Category (with professional equipment):
A single Jury Award shall be granted, chosen by a jury composed of industry professionals, awarding a cash prize of €2,000 to the best short film.
FIRST.- The organization APEOGA (Association of Producers and Editors of Audiovisual Works and Recordings), with registered address for notification purposes at Hurtada, 31 Local, (28240) Hoyo de Manzanares, Madrid, and Tax ID No. G 84841899, organizes the competition called “PREMIOS BONOBO”, owner of the website www.premiosbonobo.com
.
SECOND.- Purpose of the Festival
The festival aims to be a platform in favor of freedom of expression, the social normalization of different sexual alternatives, and a vehicle for the dissemination of eroticism as a form of creative and healthy cultural expression. The organization includes two main sections:
1.- Out of competition – special collaborations
Directors, actors, journalists, and other members of recognized prestige in the world of cinema, video, culture and art in general will produce a short film by invitation of the organization in order to show their support for the festival and demonstrate the creative possibilities that eroticism and technology currently offer.
2.- Individual competition
Persons over 18 years of age and of legal age in their country of residence may participate, whether resident in Spain or abroad, provided they comply with these rules.
The festival organizer reserves the right to request appropriate documents from participants to verify compliance with these requirements.
Members of the APEOGA board, as well as their relatives up to the first degree and employees of companies involved in the development and mechanics of this Contest, are expressly excluded from participation.
The Organization reserves the unilateral right, without prior notice, to cancel a participant’s registration and/or withhold any prize from any participant suspected or detected of attempting to defraud, alter, or hinder the proper functioning and normal course of the Contest.
Failure to accept these rules will result in the participant losing any prize or right derived from the Contest.
THIRD.- Works Competition
3.1. Short Film Competition – Bonobos Pro category
Participants may submit erotic short films in all their variants and subgenres. The shorts must be original and made with professional audiovisual equipment.
The shorts must have a minimum duration of 5 minutes.
Works must be submitted in a single digital format (MP4) and accompanied by:
a poster in vertical format 9:16 (JPG or PNG, minimum size 720 px wide x 1280 px high), and
another in horizontal format 16:9 (JPG or PNG, minimum size 1280 px wide x 720 px high).
3.1.1 Short Film Competition – Mobile category
Participants may submit erotic short films in all their variants and subgenres. The shorts must be original and unpublished and made using a mobile phone or tablet.
The shorts must have a minimum duration of 5 minutes.
Works must be submitted in a single digital format (MP4) and accompanied by:
a poster in vertical format 9:16 (JPG or PNG, minimum size 720 px wide x 1280 px high), and
another in horizontal format 16:9 (JPG or PNG, minimum size 1280 px wide x 720 px high).
To participate, it is absolutely essential to complete the registration form and the “Model Release” for the participating actors, including:
a copy of their ID card, tax number or passport,
a sworn statement that the participants in the work are at least 18 years old and of legal age in their country of residence and have participated voluntarily,
a statement certifying that all public communication rights of the work submitted are held.

. Registration is free of charge.
Any works which, in the opinion of the jury, include minors (regardless of the nature of their participation), contain scenes justifying gender violence, present situations of animal abuse, or glorify violence and/or terrorism will be automatically excluded.
FOURTH.- Territorial Scope and Deadlines
The scope of this Contest is worldwide. The call for entries opens on October 31, 2025, and closes on March 31, 2026.
Voting on submitted works will take place from the launch of the IX Edition website until April 30, 2026, through www.premiosbonobo.com
.
The awards ceremony will be held during May 2026. The venue, exact date and time will be published on the awards website, unless prevented by force majeure.
FIFTH.- Contest Mechanics – Mobile Category
Participants must submit unpublished fictional short films and/or photographs and/or erotic literary works/poetry/short stories and/or audio stories/musical works and/or paintings and digital illustrations and/or reels.
Each participant may submit a maximum of three works in up to two sections.
The works submitted may be made freely available to the public through www.premiosbonobo.com
for a period of thirty-six (36) months.
Participants waive any right or remuneration for such availability.
If any submitted work has multiple authors, all co-authors shall be considered Participants, although the prize, if awarded, shall be unique per winning work. Co-authors must appoint a representative to receive the prize.
The representative guarantees having the consent of all co-authors to submit the work and receive the prize if awarded.
5.1. Short films – Prizes
There are three prizes in two different categories:

The jury may declare the prize void if none of the submitted short films meets the necessary formal or quality requirements, although the Audience Award will always be granted according to the votes received.
APEOGA will collaborate with the Great Ape Project in defense of Bonobos in accordance with the agreement signed with said organization.
Authors may use and/or assign the rights to their works respecting the deadlines and rights granted to the award organization and maintaining the Bonobo Awards headers included in the shorts during the first 36 months.
The prizes, less applicable tax withholdings, will be paid by bank transfer within one month after receipt of the copy of the rights assignment contract.
Trophy collection:
There is a period of one year from the awards ceremony to collect trophies not picked up at the event.
After this period, delivery cannot be guaranteed.
SIXTH.- Contest Mechanics – Bonobos Pro Category
Bonobos Pro includes works made with professional audiovisual equipment.
Participants must submit short films and/or photographs, maximum three works per participant and section.
The works may be made freely available to the public through www.premiosbonobo.com
for thirty-six (36) months. Participants waive any remuneration for this.
If any work has multiple authors, all co-authors shall be considered Participants, although the prize shall be unique per winning work, and a representative must be appointed.
6.1. Short films – Jury Award
One Jury Award will be granted, chosen by a jury of professionals, with a cash prize of €2,000 for the best short film.
Other considerations
Participation implies full acceptance of these rules and the decisions adopted by the organization to resolve any unprovided matters.
The organization reserves the right to modify the calendar or conditions for justified reasons, duly communicated on the official website.
EIGHTH.- Participant Guarantees
Participants guarantee that all submitted material is original, that they are the authors or hold all rights necessary for public communication, and that no third-party rights are infringed.
They guarantee that their works were recorded using mobile phones or tablets.
They guarantee that all participants are adults and participate voluntarily.
Participants undertake to respect intellectual and industrial property regulations, including not plagiarizing, not using unauthorized works or downloads, and not infringing third-party trademarks or signs.
Participants hold the organization harmless against any claims arising from breach of these guarantees.
The author is solely responsible for any legal infringement and copyright matters.
By participating, authors grant APEOGA exclusive, free-of-charge rights to make the works available on www.premiosbonobo.com
and the organization’s social networks worldwide until the end of the contest, for promotional purposes only.
Until the end of the contest and publication of awarded works, authors may not publicly exhibit or communicate the short film without authorization.
Any commercial exploitation outside these terms requires express consent from the author.
Votes from temporary platforms may not exceed 10% of total votes per work; any excess may be annulled by the organization.
NINTH.- Modifications and/or Cancellation
The organization reserves the right to modify these rules or cancel, suspend or alter the contest if circumstances beyond its control prevent its normal development, duly informing participants on the website.
TENTH.- Tax Obligations
The organization will apply tax withholdings as required by law. Winners must provide their tax details and are responsible for their personal tax obligations.
ELEVENTH.- Data Protection
Registration data must be truthful and complete.
Data will be temporarily stored and used solely for the contest, not for commercial communications.
Participants may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition by postal mail to APEOGA.
Winners authorize publication of their name or pseudonym and photo as winners.
TWELFTH.- Acceptance of the Rules
Participation implies full acceptance of these rules and their interpretation by the organization.
THIRTEENTH.- Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Spanish law shall apply. Any disputes shall be submitted to the Courts of Madrid, waiving any other jurisdiction.
