Фестиваль начинается: 22 Ноябрь 2025      Фестиваль заканчивается: 26 Ноябрь 2025

The purpose of the festival is to definitively promote film production in the region by inviting national and international figures to spend a few days in the Thames, thereby bringing knowledge of the region, its people and its culture closer together. It will be a regional and territorial festival that will have national and international categories and will transform Támesis and its rural areas into movie theaters for 4 days.

The official selection of the TameCine Festival will compete for the statuette "The Petroglyph" and the awards that the festival will grant.

The winners will be announced on September 26, 2025, the award ceremony and ceremony of closing of the festival.

RULES – FIFTH EDITION, HISTORIAS DE REGIÓN

The fifth edition of the Historias de Región Festival aims to highlight works that reflect the diversity of Colombia’s six regions, showcasing stories created by authors, production companies, or collectives interested in portraying the identity of their territories.

The call for submissions opens on June 5 and will remain open until August 8 at 11:59 p.m. (Colombian time).

Anyone, regardless of nationality, may submit their work in any of our categories.

The call is open to productions filmed or shot using any technical format (digital, 35mm, 16mm, among others).
Participants must submit their works in a minimum quality standard (Full HD), otherwise, they will not be considered.

Submitted works must be recorded, dubbed, or at least subtitled in Spanish.

Each author or authorial collective may submit a maximum of two works in different categories. The submitted works do not need to be unpublished and may have been awarded in other festivals.

Audiovisual productions must have been completed after January 1, 2023.

The festival comprises four categories to consider when submitting your work:

Documentary Short Film (separated into National and International works)

Fiction Short Film (separated into National and International works)

Animated Short Film (national and international works compete within the same category)

Student Short Film (national and international works compete within the same category)

For the Documentary, Fiction, and Animated short film categories, the total duration of each work must be between 15 and 25 minutes. Any work that does not meet this requirement will be automatically disqualified.

The Student Short Film category only accepts works with a minimum duration of 3 minutes and a maximum of 20 minutes. Any submission that does not meet these time limits will also be disqualified.

Participants in the Student Short Film category must be students or recent graduates (no more than one year since graduation) who want to showcase their talent through their early cinematic works.

Submissions must include the synopsis, the author’s or collective's personal information, a signed technical sheet, and a related photograph. A brief summary of the artistic production and résumé of the author or collective is also required. (This information must be sent to: historiasderegionfest@gmail.com). If the registration is submitted without this documentation, the work will not be considered for the fifth edition of the festival.

Once a work is selected, the festival will notify the applicants. They will then have eight (8) days from the date of notification to send the screening authorization to: historiasderegionfest@gmail.com.

Festival registration can only be done through the following three platforms: FestHome, and the Google Drive form linked on our social media pages.

Selected and/or winning participants grant the festival the rights for reproduction and exhibition, strictly for cultural or educational purposes, for the 2025 edition of Historias de Región and/or potential festival showcases in different parts of Colombia or the world during the 2025–2026 period, with prior notification to the participant.

Contestants are responsible for ensuring that their submitted works are not subject to any legal claims. If any legal issue arises, the festival will exclude the work from the program and it will be automatically disqualified.

Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
