The Wild Cinema presents a selection of films in which nature, adventure, and sustainability will be the protagonists.
The films will be projected in a natural environment, with the stars as a ceiling and the trees as seatmates. A different cinematographic evening, in the community, outdoors, and with all the advantages of a total festival like The Wild.

AWARDS & JURY'S DECISIONS

For this edition the awards will be:

The Wild Cinema Grand Award. To the best feature film.
The Wild Cinema Grand Award. To the best short film.
Esperanza Award (Hope Award). To the best environmental film.

Decisions made by juries and others with awards decision-making authority cannot be appealed.

VI THE WILD CINEMA

1. SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

1.1. Everybody can take part without any kind of restriction.

1.2. The short films submitted must have a nature, wildlife, environmental, ecological activism, adventure sports, and/or mountain theme.

1.3. The films may also be aimed at a children's/family audience (Children's Section) as long as they fall within the genres described in point 1.2 above.

1.4. There is no limit on the number of films per competitor.

1.5. Short films with a maximum duration of 30 minutes are eligible for participation.

1.6. Feature films with a maximum duration of 150 minutes are eligible for participation.

1.7. Films produced in 2022 or later are eligible.

1.8. Films that respect equality, diversity, and nondiscrimination are eligible.

2. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

2.1. Film entries in any language different from Spanish or Galician must be subtitled in any of these two languages, or at least competitors must send to the GFFF organization a dialogue list in english, Spanish or Galician.

3. deadline

3.1. The deadline for submitting short films is June 24, 2024, at 23:59 (CET)

4. SCREENING

4.1. The selected films will be exhibited during The Wild Cinema in Vigo (Galicia-Spain).

4.2. The organization reserves the possibility to screen the films selected for The Wild Cinema Competition in other festivals and exhibitions in collaboration
with The Wild organization or for its diffusion. In that case, it will be informed that those short films have been selected for The Wild Cinema. Permission shall always be requested from the owners of the films.

5. SUBMISSION SERVICES

5.1. Every film must submit the Film Inscription Form duly covered, available on one of the following platforms until the deadlines:

cannot be appealed.

7. ANNOUNCEMENTS

7.1. In the event of dates or location changes, these will be published on the festival's website.

7.2. The official selection will be announced by email to all competitors and it will be released on the The Wild Cinema official website.

8. ADHERENCE TO THESE RULES

8.1. Submission to the Festival implies adherence to the present competition
rules and regulations.

8.2. The jury, the festival’s organization, and/or A.C. The Wild have the power to deal with all unforeseen cases in the present competition rules and
regulations.

8.3. In case of dispute, only the Galician version of the present competition rules and regulations will count, and not any derived translation.
