The 7th Quillota International Film Festival, now in its seventh edition, features three short film competitions. The festival carries out initiatives related to film training, production, and distribution within the city and province of Quillota. Its objective is to facilitate professional-grade cinematic content across a variety of settings—including public spaces, movie theaters, cultural venues, and schools—throughout the province of Quillota, in the Valparaíso Region of Chile. In 2026, the festival will once again host screenings at the city’s Leopoldo Silva Cultural Center and at the Center for the Promotion of Health and Culture, alongside open-air, community-based screenings in public spaces across the city of Quillota (specifically in the Corvi neighborhood and the city’s main square, the Plaza de Armas).

Cash Prizes: 135$

In cash according to the estimated amount raised and statuettes.

Guidelines for the 7th Edition of the QUILLOTA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2026

This call for entries is open from October 20, 2026, to November 29, 2026.

Filmmakers from Chile, Latin America, and the rest of the world are invited to participate in the 7th edition of the Quillota International Film Festival (FicQuillota) 2026—an international festival organized by the Film Cultural Corporation of the Quillota Province, in the Valparaíso Region, Chile.

The festival will take place in December of this year, held in theaters, cultural spaces, and public areas throughout the city and province of Quillota.

The following categories are available:

1. Best International Short Film Competition (Fiction, Documentary, Animation) (2025–2026).

2. Best Latin American Short Film Competition (Fiction, Documentary, Animation) (2025–2026).

3. Best Chilean Short Film Competition (Fiction, Documentary, Animation) (2025–2026).

Submissions may be made via:

- The Festhome platform (for International, Latin American, and National competitions).

- For the national competition, entries may also be submitted by providing a link to a web platform (Vimeo, YouTube, or other)—protected by a password—sent to the email address: ficquillota@gmail.com.

The representatives of the selected films will be notified via email. Following this notification, the festival production team will contact each director and/or representative to arrange the submission of the screening copy, which must be in either QuickTime Apple ProRes (HQ) or H.264 format.
