From the TUBIFEST Film Festival we are happy to tell you that we are going to start our first edition in the town of Tubilla del Lago (Burgos), giving shape to our illusion of being able to bring Culture closer to an emptied Spain, and to be able to give also meet those young directors and actors.

The Festival will be held on the weekend of June 24-25-26.

All nominees will receive an accrediting diploma.

After viewing all the films, each of the winning short films will be awarded with a statuette created for the occasion and:

- Tubifest Award - Endowed with a Trophy and €100

- Audience Award - Endowed with a Trophy and €100

- Jury Award for Best Actor- Endowed with a Trophy and €100

- Jury Award for Best Actress- Endowed with a Trophy and €100

-Best Comedy Short Film Award: Endowed with a Trophy and €100

-Prize for the best Photography: Endowed with a Trophy and €100

BASES OF THE OFFICIAL SECTION OF THE
SHORT FILM COMPETITION 2023


1. Participation


All producers and directors of international short films may participate, without age limit.

Social short films of any production format may participate.

The festival will be held on June 24-25-26, 2023.


2. Conditions


Each participant may submit a maximum of two works, and they must have been produced after January 1, 2020.

The duration may not exceed 15 minutes.

Those works that do not technically guarantee a correct projection will be rejected.


The Festival assumes that the owners of the short films presented hold the exhibition and promotion rights over the works and material they represent and declines any responsibility regarding the violation of this rule.

Productions not shot in Spanish must present their works with the corresponding subtitles in Spanish for their exhibition at the Festival.


3. Registration


The registration period will be from April 10, 2023 to June 13, 2023. Registration must be done as follows:

The participants authorize the organization to use excerpts from the films for dissemination in any media, in order to promote the festival, as well as the use of photographs of the films as advertising in the press and other media.


4. Selection

Among all the tapes received, a total of Four will be selected.

The selection of the films will be carried out by a committee of the organization, under strict quality criteria.

The result of the selection will be made public on June 20, 2022

The decision of the selection committee is final.

The selected films must be sent. In the following format:

-Codec: H.264 – Resolution: 1920 x 1080 – Fps: 25p


Likewise, the festival will assume the return of the projection copies (pen-drives, hard drives or optical media), only when said shipment is within the national territory.

The selected films will be exhibited in public sessions in the designated place, at the times and dates that appear in the official program of the festival or, where appropriate, as determined by the organization of the festival.


5. Jury

The Official Jury, made up of professionals with a recognized track record in the field of culture, will be in charge of awarding the prizes.

The jury may declare void, due to lack of quality or absence of works presented, the modalities it deems appropriate or award ex aequo prizes, and its decisions will be final.

The Prizes awarded will be delivered on the day of the Awards Gala in the municipality of Tubilla del Lago, on June 26, 2023.

The organization appreciates the presence of the representatives of each short film.

The audience present during the screenings will award the prize for the best short film, by means of a ballot to be filled out after each screening session. The decision of the public is unappealable.


6. Prizes

All nominees will receive an accrediting diploma.

After viewing all the films, each of the winning short films will be awarded a statuette created for the occasion and:

- Audience Award - Endowed with Trophy and Diploma

- Jury Award for Best Actor- Endowed with Trophy and Diploma

- Jury Award for Best Actress- Endowed with Trophy and Diploma.


7. Acceptance of the bases


Registration implies acceptance of these rules and the decisions of the organization, selection committee and jury of the festival. Any question not foreseen in the bases will be resolved by the organization of the festival.


General conditions

- The copies of the films not selected will become part of the festival's audiovisual archive, and may be used, after notifying the producer, for their exhibition in events parallel to the festival.

The producer may completely refuse this exhibition.

- The festival may organize different informative sections, prior communication and authorization of the producer, with the short films not nominated, parallel to the Official Section.

- The producers of the selected short films authorize the use of a fragment of the works (maximum three minutes), for dissemination as informative material in any media, including the Internet.

- The date and place may be modified by the organization, which will be communicated to the interested parties with sufficient time in advance.

- The organization reserves the right to modify some of these bases as well as to interpret them in case of doubt. The decisions made accepted by the organization will be unappealable.

- If the festival is delayed or canceled for reasons beyond the control of the organizers, the participants will not be entitled to any compensation, but their work will be pending to compete in it, as soon as normality is restored. Participation in this Festival implies acceptance of these rules.
