This category honors exceptional human performance across all formats presented in New Media Film Festival®. Eligible submissions include on‑screen acting, voice acting, hosting, narration, ensemble work, and character performance. We celebrate individuals whose skill, presence, and emotional impact elevate the storytelling, regardless of the medium or genre. Talent may be featured in TV, pilots, web series, mobile vertical content, immersive projects, animated works, or any format accepted by the festival. All ages, all cultures, in all media accepted.

We accept short and long form content for Television.

Once a month, we send out a newsletter to 80,000 subscribers. For an ad, we would need an image, tagline, logline, short paragraph and link. We will refund if we cannot fulfill the order for any reason. Where possible, you can select the month to be listed. Thank you.

Any format including but not limited to 35mm, 16mm, 8mm, 2D, HD, 5D, 7D, SI Canon, Alexa, etc. All Ages – All Cultures – All Media

Shorts are narrative or documentary works created on any format (digitally, HD, 16mm, Super8, etc.) with a duration under 30 minutes. Can include web episodes, commercials, narrative or documentary under 30 minutes.

A series of scripted or non-scripted videos, generally in episodic form. We review up to 3 episodes.

Mixed reality (MR) is the merging of real and virtual worlds to produce new environments and visualizations, where physical and digital objects co-exist and interact in real time. Mixed reality does not exclusively take place in either the physical or virtual world, but is a hybrid of reality and virtual reality, encompassing both augmented reality and augmented virtuality via immersive technology

Digital Comics are accepted in digital format only (no physical books please). Winner of this category will be judged by a Marvel Graphics Novel published writer, viewed by an award winning production company for consideration to be made into an animation or live action feature.

Any Genre, any length. All drone content accepted.

They are scripted dramas that are typically broken down into 1 to 3 minute-long episodes designed to be watched on phones, laptops etc.

Videos created by your cell phone camera and/or tablet. All lengths and genres accepted.

Children are our future. What stories are you creating for children? Right now, that demographic would be Gen Alpha, they are the first to be born entirely in the 21st Century.

Stories that are faith based and/or family friendly. All ages, all cultures, all media - always. Any length, distributed or not. Thanks.

Open to all music genres and lengths. Music Contest - audio only, no video

In the very first year of New Media Film Festival a music video won our Shot On Red category. We'd like to Music Videos shot on any format to have an opportunity to win, on its own, among their peers., so, this category was created.

Since New Media is an ever evolving arena, we have this category for those of you that have created something that you feel does not fit into our other categories listed. Includes, Gaming, Tech Vlog's, VE, Vertical, Live, Location Based, 5d, 7d, SI, Interactive, online only, New Media, etc. If your creative endeavors want an opportunity to be considered for distribution and our $45k in combined prizes and this is the category you feel best fits what you created, please submit here. We accept all TRT (total running times) from 30 seconds to 2 hours in this category.

New Media Film Festival® is the first festival in the world (as of 4-10-21, the only festival) to accept NFT's in competition and the award winner gets purchased live during the awards ceremony. Put simply, an NFT can be viewed as a valuable digital asset or a one-of-a-kind artistic masterpiece. This new technology has recently set off a trend of high-priced digital art. Collectors have famously paid upwards of $69 million for such items. This year, in a "bake-off" type competition, creators have submitted their NFTs to the festival with a pitch on why it deserves recognition. A panel of judges, made up of entertainment professionals from PBS, the BBC, The Emmys, Marvel, HBO, BMI, and the Grammy Awards, will choose up to two winners, whose work will be purchased by the festival. NFT notification and purchase is live during the Awards ceremony. PLEASE NOTE - 100% OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THIS CATEGORY GO TO PURCHASING NFT'S

All Photograph submissions will be considered to be part of the International Art Exhibit during the festival. If you have other NON digital art, please submit in Art category. If accepted, you will be exhibited during the festival, receive festival badge and marketing to our 80K newsletter list, 10.5M via social media and you will walk the Red Carpet Press Junket at the festival.

All Scripts. Short Script, Feature Script, Stage Play, Television Script- short and long form, animation, comedy, sitcom, drama, books, web series, reality, live, TV anything scripted, this is for you. There is not a limit on page numbers. Top 3 winners in this category win Industry memberships valued at $1000.00 each & are still considered for Grand Prize Award.

Writers asked for it, now we have added it. If you submit in our Script category and would like one page notes/feeback, please choose this option as well. This will give you an inside look into what your script is really conveying to an Industry reader

Minimum length should be at least 30 seconds and no more than three minutes in length.You may submit your trailer here and your long format in one of our other categories if you wish. Our judge is a Journalist that reviews trailers for media outlets.

This is for any type of film & media content that has a socially responsible message and would like to be considered for competition in this category. Including but not limited to PSA's, short industrials, journalism.

You may submit any genre, any length for this category. The subject matter must at some point touch on or involve one of these elements: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and/or Math.
