BIFF came out of a desire to expand Dutchess County’s offering of independent films, make independent films more accessible to people who might not otherwise see them and to help make Beacon a place that celebrates and fosters filmmaking.

We are interested in screening films that have very little or no distribution in the US. However, films that do have a distributor are eligible as well, but must be in very limited release.

There is no limit in running time.

Submitted films must be presented in English or with English subtitles.
