VI CURT DE GAMBALS
BASIS

Conditions
1. Curt de Gambals is a short film contest. It has 3 categories:

a. GENERAL: free shorts, with no language restrictions

b. CAT: shorts in catalán language

c. YOUNG: shorts made by young people or a young people group (up to 18 years old).

d. Web: all who wish participate must show their interest and specify it in the registration form.

2. The shorts submitted will be considered in all the categories. The YOUTH category, would only take into account the shorts made by young people or groups of young people, especially organized around the school, high school, leisure time groups or others cultural or educative entities to which they are related. CAT category only will admit works in Catalan language. To take
part in CAT and/or YOUNG categories does not exclude to participate in the others categories.

3. The subject is Terror

4. The recording technology, the type of short (realistic, stop-motion, animation...), are absolutely free.

5. Each author/group can only submit for one short.

6. All projects must be submitted in web format and at least 720p quality to be displayed correctly. Participation is also accepted through Festhome as long as the registration form is sent to:
curtdegambals@lalianca.cat

7. The maximum length of the shorts has to be 10 minutes, including the title and the final credits.

8. The shorts can be in any language. If they are not Catalan or Spanish, the shorts must be subtitled in Catalan or Spanish.

9. All these registration forms bad complemented or not including link to the short film, will be discarded.

10. Taking part in V Curt de Gambals supposes:

a) Ateneu l'Aliança assures all participants that their projects' copyright will be respected.
b) The participants accept to transfer the exhibition right and the compilation right to Ateneu l'aliança in order to show all of them.
c) Ateneu l’Aliança compromises not to make a lucrative use of them. You must ask for the project expressly if you want it to be sent back. If not, it will be part of the file of means of l’Ateneu l’Aliança.

11. All works presented, have not won any competition.

Deadlines

12. The starting date of the contest and the reception of the projects is December, 1st 2013

13. The delivery deadline is April, 1st 2014.

14. Webpage’s contest deadline:

a)Application to participate in the contest web: April 1, 2014
b)Voting deadline: May 25, 2014

15. The awards ceremony will be the Sunday 1st of June 2014. The organization will contact the finalists in order to come or send some representant, if they could. The specific hour will be published.

Awards
17. The awards are:
- Best short general category, awarded with 300€.
-Best short .cat category, awarded with 150€.
-Best short Young’s category , awarded with 150€
Special awards
Audience award: Award given the Gala’s day by the audience attending (only possible to finalists).
Website award: the most vote on the Curt De Gambals' Website

-Special awards will be non-economic.

The juror can consider leaving any prize not awarded. The juror's decision will be inappeasable.
