I OLHAR DO NORTE - FILM FESTIVAL

COMMISSION REGULATION

GENERAL PROVISIONS
1 - The I Olhar do Norte - Film Festival is organized by Artrupe Productions. The festival will be held in Manaus from January 25 to 29, 2018.

2 - The festival aims to give visibility to the Amazonian audiovisual production, in addition to bringing to Manaus outstanding productions from other states of Brazil, mainly from the north region, combining the exhibition with the dialogue about cinema.

CATEGORIES
3 - The Festival will consist of two competitive shows:
3.1 - Competitive show of short films Amazonas, in which will compete films made in the state of Amazonas, and / or by directors amazonenses.
3.2 - Competitive exhibition of short films in the North Region, in which films will be made in the states of the North Region (Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima and Tocantins) and / or by directors of these states.

4 - The festival reserves the right to invite non-attached films to compose any categories of the show.

REGISTRATIONS
5 - Entries should be made through Festhome.

6 - In order to register the competitors must fill out the online form on the website, and inform a link to watch the movie online.

7 - Registration for the festival is open to films of fiction, documentary, experimental, animation and hybrids.

8 - Films with a maximum duration of 25 minutes, made as of January 1, 2016, are eligible.

9 - Each director can sign up with as many films as he wants.

10 - No registration fee will be charged.

11 - For subscription purposes, work-in-progress versions of the films will be accepted.

12 - The list of selected films will be announced until January 8, 2018, and this period may be extended by the festival organization.

13 - Once enrolled and selected, the film can not be removed from the festival schedule.

CURATOR
14 - The trusteeship committee shall be composed of three titular members designated by Artrupe.

AWARDS
15 - All the films selected for the festival, in the Amazonas and Northern Region shows, will be competing for the following awards:

16 - Each show will have a panel of judges composed of three professionals from the area, to be defined by Artrupe.

17 - The organization may institute awards resulting from partnerships and support. This information will be available in the festival fanpage.

18 - The jury has autonomy not to award prizes in categories that judge that the necessary requirements were not met.

FINAL DISPOSITIONS
19 - Selected films will be shown through digital format (.MOV, H264 codec, stereo audio), made available by the person responsible for the work's registration.

20 - The directors of the films enrolled in the festival give Artrupe the right to display and publish, in any medium, images of the film (photos and excerpts of up to 30 seconds), by themselves or by third parties, without limitation of number of times, without that any compensation or compensation is due to the participants.

21 - It is the competitor's responsibility to use images and music of third parties in his films, as well as any liability arising from injuries to image and copyright.

22 - The invitations offered to the directors of the selected works will be within the budgetary limits of the event.

23 - When entering into the contest, the participant will be accepting all the rules contained in this regulation.

24 - The cases not foreseen by this regulation will be analyzed by the organizing committee of the festival, being its sovereign decision.

25 - This Regulation shall enter into force on that date.
