RULES OF THE TEJADAFILM INTERNATIONAL AUDIOVISUAL FESTIVAL
“A YOUNG LOOK AT EUROPE”
We present the TEJADAFILM Short Film Festival organized by the
IES José Luis Tejada Peluffo, from El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz, SPAIN) and
SUGS GIMNAZIJA Orce Nikolov, from Skopje (North Macedonia). With the
collaboration of the Cultural Association Shorty Week and the City Council of El
Santa Maria Port.
OBJECTIVES
a.- Promote the development of social, civic and intercultural competence,
media literacy and critical thinking, as well as fighting against
discrimination, segregation, racism, bullying and violence.
b.- Improve access, participation and learning achievements of young people
disadvantaged, reducing disparities in learning outcomes.
c.- Support and evaluate new approaches aimed at reducing inequalities
in access to and participation in new technologies in formal education and

relationship with ICT and audiovisual media
d.- Promote cooperation between different educational institutions and
enrich the educational environment of the institutes that act as hosts
for foreign students.
e.- Promote European awareness by defending solidarity, the values of
equality and interculturality.
PARTICIPANTS
All European educational centers from
Secondary and Baccalaureate Education for the 2021/2022 academic year.
1. REGISTRATION
• Registration is free. The registration period is from the 15th of
January to April 1, 2022.
• Registration will be done through the FESTHOME platform.
2. ADMISSION OF SHORT FILMS
• There is no limit on the number of short films presented per center
educational.
• Taking into account the multilingual nature of the Festival, the
Short films may be shot in any of the EU languages and must be subtitled (preferably without embedding) with their translation into English and Spanish. Those shot in Spanish must
have English and/or French subtitles.
• Each short film will have to be responsible for a teacher.
Teachers can take charge of as many short films and groups
as they wish.
• The participants of the short films can be from the same group or
of different groups, even mixing different ages and courses.
In the case of collaborating different educational levels, the authorship of the short film presented will be of the group that has signed the script and its direction.
• The short films must be written and directed by the students, although they may count on the collaboration and support of the teaching staff.
• The duration of the short film will have a limit of 7 minutes, credits included.
• Due to the educational nature of this festival, the inclusion of alcoholic beverages, tobacco or drugs in the short films presented is not allowed, except when their purpose is to denounce their consumption and negative effects.
• Short films must abide by the principles of equality between men and women, in addition to respecting affective-sexual diversity.
• The music used in the short films must be original or free of rights. On the internet you can find royalty-free music that can be used legally and at no cost.
• In case of using commercial music, authorization documents must be presented by the author and/or owner of the rights of the work. In case of non-presentation of said
documents, for legal reasons of reproduction the short film does not
will be accepted.
• The use of fragments of audiovisual works will not be allowed.

• The short film can be made in any medium, be it camera
video, photo, mobile phone, etc.
• Those who participate in this contest exempt the IES José Luis Tejada
Peluffo and SUGS GIMNAZIJA Orce Nikolov, from any claim related to the authorship of the works, their soundtrack or any other element subject to intellectual property rights,
as well as other infractions of the current legislation in which
they might have incurred. Likewise, the winning works will remain in the power of the center for their use and publication, if it deems it convenient, implying the free express transfer of the rights of
exploitation by their authors, authors or legal representatives, in the terms provided in article 48 and following of Royal Legislative Decree 1/1996, of April 12, which approves the consolidated text of the Intellectual Property Law, regularizing,
clarifying and harmonizing current legal provisions.
3. DOCUMENTATION AND DEADLINES
Each short film must meet the following points:

• The organization reserves the right to reject a work that violates

The deadline for delivery of said documentation in digital format and
of work is from the day following the publication of these rules until April 1, 2022.
4. ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
The criteria by which the jury will be governed to assess the works are:
• Content in accordance with European democratic values.
• Number of students involved.
• Positive images that convey overcoming situations
of gender violence.
• Involvement of society in rejecting sexist violence and
contribution to its eradication.
• Contribution to the acquisition of values of equality and not
discrimination based on sex.
• Innovative character in terms of content.
• Audiovisual quality.
• Quality in the interpretation of the actors and actresses.
The jury will not assess videos with images that are denigrating, humiliating,
insulting or that, for any reason not inherent to the narration, violate the
fundamental rights of people.
5. JURY
The jury will be made up of teaching staff from the IES José Luis Tejada
related to the Erasmus program “One, deux, tres: Action!” and with him
innovation program AulaDcine of the Junta de Andalucía, and members
founders of the association Shorty Week, being their decision final and
reserving the right to declare any of the prizes void. The
jury reserves the right of admission to the contest of the works presented,
as well as the power to resolve any aspect not provided for in these bases.
6. PRIZES
No short film may obtain more than one award.
The prizes are the following:
FIRST TEJADAFILM PRIZE for the best short film of the festival
• Tejadafilm statuette and €400.
• Screening of the short film at the Final Gala at the Pedro Muñoz Seca Theater
SECOND TEJADAFILM PRIZE for the second best short film of the festival
• Tejadafilm statuette and €100.
• Screening of the short film at the Final Gala at the Pedro Muñoz Theater
Dry.
AWARDS One, two, three: Action! to the best short film of each of the
organizing educational centers
• Tejadafilm statuette and €100.
• Screening of the short film at the Final Gala at the Pedro Muñoz Theater.
These bases are subject to updates and modifications that the organization deems appropriate.
