The Academy of Motion Picture Arts of Spain, includes it as one of the key festivals for the selection of short films that will compete in the Goya Awards. Throughout the last editions the festival has been making important decisions that commit it to the cinema of our country. In his thirteenth edition he published his manifesto where he exhibited his philosophy and commitment to film. The Barcelona Olympic Foundation, with the support of the Barcelona City Council, organizes the BCN Sports Film 2027 – 17th BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL FICTS FESTIVAL and forms part of the WORLD FICTS CHALLENGE 2027.

The BCN Sports Film 2027 will take place in Barcelona on dates yet to be determined during February of 2027. In this seventeenth edition, the festival will have a competitive nature.

The seventeenth edition of the festival will have a hybrid format so, there will be face-to-face screenings and online screenings. LUCES CAMEROS ACCION is a short film festival with two sections.

1 – “Rural World" Section
International section of short films in Spanish or Spanish subtitles.

Recorded in villages in rural areas or dealing with rural idiosyncrasies.

Premiered from January 1, 2025.

2 – “Cameros" Section
The works submitted will be original pieces that are not accessible through Internet.

With 30% of the "footage" recorded in recognizable places of Cameros (New and old Cameros located in La Rioja Spain).
