The Young Audiovisual Laboratory of the Reteena Festival 2025 is aimed at young filmmakers aged 17 to 25 with projects in Catalan that are still in development, including short and feature films. Its purpose is to provide training, mentorship, and visibility for emerging cinematic talent.
Selected participants will receive personalized script tutoring with professional filmmakers, along with workshops on pitching, project dossiers, and masterclasses on production, distribution, and sustainable filmmaking. Participants will have the chance to present their projects in an open pitching session with well-known production companies, increasing their funding and development opportunities.
The laboratory also offers a €1,000 prize for the most outstanding project and full accreditation to the Reteena Festival, granting access to all festival activities. Key dates include registration in September–October, selection announcements in November, and in-person workshops in December.

La Hollywood Storytellers Script Competition es un concurso internacional de guion abierto a largometrajes, cortometrajes y pilotos de TV en cualquier género. El plazo para inscribir guiones termina el 2 de noviembre de 2025. Los guiones deben enviarse en inglés, en formato PDF y respetando los límites de páginas según la categoría. El jurado está formado por profesionales de la industria cinematográfica de grandes estudios como Disney, Netflix y Warner Bros. Los participantes pueden solicitar feedback ejecutivo opcional con posibilidad de reenvío sin costo adicional. This workshop is designed for anyone who has an interest in developing their own perspective and personal style, in returning to the essence of cinema based on cinematographic language and film fact, beyond the plot or script.
This workshop focuses on contemplative and reflective cinema, focused on the power of image and sound. It is aimed at students of art, cinema, photography, audiovisual, film and photography lovers, and professionals and artists with concerns and interest in developing new forms of expression of cinematographic language.

TALLER SLOW CINEMA CON JIAJIE YU YAN
The theme of the scripts is completely free and may belong to any genre. All works submitted must be original. If the contestant uses a novel, a short story or a text by another author as the basis for the script, the contestant must include in his or her registration the corresponding authorization from the author of the original work.
