Industria en Foco es un encuentro federal de producción audiovisual que se realiza en Argentina en el marco del BAFICI. La iniciativa busca fortalecer la industria audiovisual mediante espacios de formación, intercambio profesional, networking y vinculación entre productoras, productores y referentes del sector.
La convocatoria 2026 estuvo dirigida exclusivamente a productoras y productores audiovisuales de Argentina, con especial énfasis en la representación federal. Las postulaciones estuvieron abiertas del 10 al 22 de marzo de 2026, y los proyectos seleccionados se anunciaron el 30 de marzo de 2026. El encuentro se llevó a cabo los días 23 y 24 de abril de 2026 en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. La convocatoria no especificó restricciones de género audiovisual ni formatos determinados, ya que está orientada a la participación de empresas y profesionales del sector, más que a proyectos específicos. Además, las personas seleccionadas provenientes de fuera del Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires recibieron apoyo para facilitar su participación presencial.

Audiovisual Laboratory: Industry in Focus
The 2026 ÍCARO International Film Festival, held in Guatemala, opens its international call for filmmakers, producers, and audiovisual creators from around the world. The call is part of an audiovisual platform focused on exhibition and industry development, with participation in both Central American and International categories.
Applications will be open from April 12 to June 30, 2026. The main festival event will take place in Guatemala from November 6 to 29, 2026.
The call accepts international submissions and welcomes fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental films. Accepted formats include feature films and short films. Submitted works must have been produced during the 2025–2026 period.
In addition to film exhibition, ÍCARO promotes audiovisual industry activities, including professional meetings, training programs, and spaces focused on the development and promotion of film projects.

ÍCARO - Market
The International Co-production Meeting (EIC) 2026 is an international program held in Guatemala, aimed at Spanish-speaking directors and producers from around the world with audiovisual projects in development. It accepts fiction, documentary, animation, and television series projects.
The call for applications will be open from April 19 to June 19, 2026. The virtual phase will take place from August 8 to 13, 2026, featuring specialized training and individual mentoring sessions. The in-person phase will be held from November 23 to 28, 2026, as part of the XXIX Ícaro International Film Festival in Central America.
EIC 2026 combines a co-production laboratory, pitching opportunities, and an industry market, providing professional training, project development support, meetings with potential partners, and networking opportunities to strengthen production and distribution strategies. Impact Days is the FIFDH’s professional programme for filmmakers and NGOs, now in its sixth edition. We select quality documentary projects, work with filmmakers to refine their impact goals, and facilitate partnerships within the vast ecosystem of organisations, policymakers and funders active around International Geneva.

Docs in Progress FIDOCS + Conecta 2026 is an international documentary industry call held in Chile, organized by FIDOCS and Conecta. It is aimed at Latin American documentary projects in advanced editing stages, providing professional feedback, advisory support and networking opportunities with audiovisual industry professionals.
The submission deadline is July 27, 2026, at 11:59 PM (Santiago de Chile time). The program will take place in two stages: an online phase during FIDOCS from November 12 to 19, 2026, followed by an in-person stage during Conecta in Santiago, Chile, from December 9 to 12, 2026.
The call accepts feature-length documentary and non-fiction projects from Latin America and the Caribbean, including co-productions involving these regions. It is a Work in Progress (WIP) initiative within the documentary film industry and market, focused on projects in the final stages of completion.
