La convocatoria CANTERA - Alcalá Short Film Lab está dirigida a cineastas emergentes que deseen desarrollar su primer cortometraje profesional. Se seleccionarán hasta seis proyectos para participar en un laboratorio intensivo de formación que incluirá 16 horas de clases impartidas por profesionales en guion, dirección, pitching y producción.
El proyecto ganador recibirá un premio en especie valorado en más de 20.000 euros, facilitando recursos para la realización del cortometraje. Además, la obra resultante tendrá la oportunidad de estrenarse en una futura edición del Festival de Cine de Alcalá de Henares, ofreciendo visibilidad a nivel nacional.
Pueden participar personas mayores de 18 años, con experiencia limitada en cortometrajes profesionales (no más de uno). La duración del proyecto debe estar entre cinco y treinta minutos. Las inscripciones estarán abiertas hasta el 24 de octubre de 2025. Esta convocatoria es una excelente oportunidad para recibir formación, apoyo y visibilidad en el ámbito cinematográfico, potenciando el talento emergente y la realización de cortometrajes de calidad.

ECAM Films to Come
La Residencia de Guion Cine y Mujer 2025 busca brindar un espacio de escritura y formación para mujeres guionistas hispanohablantes, incluyendo mujeres trans y personas que se identifiquen como mujeres. Su objetivo es ofrecer un entorno creativo para fortalecer proyectos de guion de largometraje de ficción, promoviendo la descentralización del oficio audiovisual.
La residencia se realizará del 26 al 30 de noviembre de 2025 en Coatepec, Veracruz, México. Las participantes recibirán asesorías especializadas, hospedaje, alimentación completa y traslados internos, mientras que los traslados hacia Xalapa y los gastos personales corren por cuenta de las participantes.
Pueden postularse guionistas mayores de 18 años con experiencia previa en escritura de guion, que presenten un proyecto de 60 a 100 cuartillas. Se requiere enviar documentación completa, incluyendo sinopsis, guion, carta de motivos y comprobante de pago de inscripción. La fecha límite de recepción es el 19 de octubre de 2025, y los resultados se anunciarán el 30 de octubre de 2025.

Residencia de Guion: Cine y Mujer
The Animation Lab Clermont-Ferrand 2026 is aimed at international producers interested in developing and producing animated short films. The workshop will take place from January 31 to February 3, 2026 in Clermont-Ferrand, France, during the International Short Film Festival and Short Film Market. Participants are expected to arrive on January 30 and depart between February 3 and 4.
The program includes lectures from international experts, group work with production plan presentations and feedback, and one-on-one consultations with experienced group leaders. Participants will receive accreditation for the market, access to the Euro Connection co-production forum, and post-workshop benefits such as membership in the CEE Animation alumni network.
The participation fee is €250, covering tuition, festival accreditation, and lunches, but travel and accommodation are not included. The call is open to participants worldwide, with a maximum of 30% from outside the EU. The application deadline is November 14, 2025.

Animation Lab Clermont-Ferrand
The Rotterdam Lab 2026 is a program for emerging international film producers seeking to expand their professional network and develop feature-length projects with international co-production potential. It is open to independent producers, freelancers, or junior producers in production companies, with no age limit, who have completed at least two short films and are working on their first or second feature.
The program prioritizes diversity and inclusion, especially welcoming applicants from minority, indigenous, LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, disabled communities, or underrepresented regions in the international film industry.
Selected participants receive full access to IFFR Pro and CineMart 2026, including accreditation for meetings, screenings, networking events, and five nights of accommodation. Travel expenses are not covered.
The lab takes place during the International Film Festival Rotterdam, from late January to early February 2026. Applicants must submit an application form, CV, and motivation letter, with an optional portfolio or dossier. The main focus is on the international potential of the project and the producer’s ability to contribute to and benefit from the lab.

Rotterdam Lab at the IFFR
The Hollywood Storytellers Script Competition is an international screenwriting contest open to feature films, shorts, and TV pilots across all genres. The submission deadline is November 2, 2025.
