The Work in Progress section of the Huesca International Film Festival invites short films from Ibero-American countries that are in an advanced stage of post-production. Projects should be between 5 and 20 minutes long and must not have been commercially released or screened at other festivals. Short films of all genres are accepted, including fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, fantasy, or horror.
Applications opened on January 14, 2026, and will close on February 12, 2026. Selected projects will be presented during the Work in Progress sessions at the festival, which will take place from June 5 to 13, 2026, with the short film presentations scheduled for June 11, 2026. This program aims to provide visibility, guidance, and networking opportunities for filmmakers who want to showcase their works prior to their final release.

DocuLab: Documentary Lab is an industry program of the Guadalajara International Film Festival, aimed at promoting the development of Ibero-American filmmakers and their documentary films in the editing stage, through in-depth analysis and discussions with experts in the genre.
For its fourteenth edition, DocuLab returns in person, continuing its role as a fundamental training space for the non-fiction genre in Ibero-America.

DOCULAB: DOCUMENTARY LAB - FICG
The Incubadora Queer Latinoamérica is an initiative by SANFIC Industria designed to support fiction feature film projects in the scriptwriting stage. This call aims to amplify queer voices from a Latin American perspective, selecting up to six projects led by individuals who identify as part of the LGBTIQ+ community or whose gender expressions and identities are central to their creative work. Selected projects will receive group and one-on-one mentorship from international professionals. The deadline for submissions is May 26, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. (UTC -4), and the event will take place from August 17-22, 2025, as part of SANFIC Industria. Eligible projects must be in the scriptwriting stage, have an artistic deck, and be led by individuals whose creative perspectives reflect non-normative gender identities and expressions.

FIDLab 2026 is an international call organized by FIDMarseille, focused on fiction and documentary film projects with a strong artistic vision and international co-production potential. It targets filmmakers and producers seeking professional support, funding opportunities, and strategic industry connections.
The call is open to projects at various stages, including writing, development, production, and post-production, as long as they are cinematic works in progress. There are no thematic or narrative genre restrictions, but priority is given to singular, sensitive projects with a clear authorial perspective.
FIDLab operates as a co-production platform and laboratory, providing selected projects with access to meetings and exchanges with producers, funding bodies, distributors, sales agents, and other key international audiovisual professionals.
The call is open to international submissions. The application deadline is March 2, 2026. FIDLab will take place on July 9 and 10, 2026, as part of FIDMarseille, which will be held from July 7 to 12, 2026, in France.
