The Coral Postproduction Award at the 46th Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema is aimed at feature-length fiction, documentary, or animated films with Latin American or Caribbean themes that are in the postproduction phase. Its goal is to support the completion of works through technical resources and specialized services.
The call for submissions is open from May 5 to August 15, 2025. Projects must have been produced in 2024 or 2025, not have participated in international festivals held in Cuba, nor have been publicly disseminated on digital platforms.
Applicants must complete the registration form available on the festival's official website: habanafilmfestival.com. Submission requirements include a rough cut of the film and a project dossier containing a synopsis, treatment, director's statement, biographies of the director and producer, detailed postproduction plan, budget, and financing plan.
Selected projects will receive postproduction service packages provided by collaborating companies. In previous editions, companies such as Aracne DC and Arte Sonora have offered image and sound editing services, including Dolby mixing and specialized technical advice.

Posters must be unpublished, created in 2024 or 2025, and not previously exhibited or awarded.

FILM POSTER COMPETITION – LA HABANA
The Inspired Screenwriting Competition is more than just a contest; it’s an experience designed to help screenwriters discover their authentic voice. Through their course “Finding Your Voice As A Screenwriter,” participants explore techniques to deeply connect with their creativity and develop original stories that reflect their unique perspective. The Inspired Screenwriting Competition
El Concurso Latinoamericano de Argumentos LATINX 2025, organizado por el Latin American Training Center (LATC), está dirigido a guionistas emergentes, estudiantes y recién graduados de Latinoamérica sin experiencia en largometrajes producidos. La convocatoria acepta argumentos de hasta 3 páginas para largometrajes de ficción o documentales que aborden el tema “Lugares Latinoamericanos”. La inscripción está abierta hasta el 2 de julio de 2025, con distintas tarifas y modalidades, incluyendo descuentos para grupos en situación de diversidad e inclusión, y opción de inscripción social gratuita. Los premios incluyen dinero en efectivo, sesiones de coaching con la reconocida guionista Kate Lyra, licencias del software Final Draft y libros. El jurado está compuesto por destacados profesionales del cine y la dramaturgia de Brasil y Perú. The Unproduced Screenplay Competition at the 46th Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema is open to Latin American or Caribbean authors submitting original, unproduced scripts with themes related to Latin America or the Caribbean. Scripts must be written in Spanish and not have been previously awarded or published.
