The 4th edition of MIANIMA, organized by MIA (Women in the Animation Industry), is open until June 11, 2025. It is aimed at women from 22 Ibero-American countries with animation projects in the categories of feature film, series, or short film. Six projects (two per category) will be selected for an intensive 4-month program that includes mentoring, masterclasses, and pitch refinement. The program culminates in a closing ceremony in Madrid, where the best projects will be awarded professional services valued between €9,000 and €15,000.

MIANIMA 4th edition
Push Lab 2025-2026 is a development lab for film projects in scriptwriting stages, aimed at directors or director/writer teams born or residing in Catalonia. The program offers creative and industry support, including a creative residency at Mas Flaquer (Cantallops) from October 20 to 26, 2025, followed by monthly sessions in Girona from November 2025 to February 2026. Six projects are selected, with specific spots for women, Girona residents, and Catalan-language projects. Each project receives a €3,000 grant. The application is free and open until July 12, 2025. The program concludes on March 11, 2026. Push Lab supports the development of feature films by providing tools to improve scripts and plan industrial development.

Push Lab
Torre Barrina is organizing the 2025 L’Hospitalet Short Film Pitching event, aimed at screenwriters and directors over 18 with original short film projects—fiction or documentary—written in Catalan or Spanish. The submission period runs from May 26 to June 15, 2025, and projects must be sent to torrebarrina@l-h.cat, including the script and/or a project dossier (maximum 20 pages). Between 14 and 20 projects will be selected to be pitched on July 1 and 2, followed by one-on-one meetings with invited production companies. The event will conclude on July 3 with round tables and a closing session. All activities take place at Torre Barrina Cultural Center in L’Hospitalet.

FIDLab - Marseille
The 2025 call for Cine Chileno del Futuro (Finalization line) is aimed at Chilean feature films (fiction or nonfiction) in the rough cut or post-production stage. Projects must be directed by Chilean filmmakers or permanent residents, and filmed mostly in Chile. The submission deadline is June 10, 2025.
Selected projects will receive specialized mentoring in editing and finalization strategies. Monetary awards ($1,200,000 CLP per category), post-production services from Atómica and Sonamos, and an internationalization prize supported by CAIA will be granted.

SOUTHERN ENCOUNTERS - Fic Valdivia - Completion
The 11th edition of Producers Meet Producers (PMP) will take place on October 14, 2025, in Sitges. Organized by Productors Audiovisuals de Catalunya (PAC), the event aims to foster collaboration between emerging producers and established audiovisual professionals.
Applications are open until June 20, 2025. Each company may submit up to three projects. Selected participants will be notified by the end of July 2025.
To apply, producers must submit a production dossier in PDF format (max. 10 pages), including: project image, company logo and contact, technical sheet, synopsis, producer’s track record and biofilmography, statement of intent, and a brief explanation of why the producer is considered emerging. An optional video pitch may also be included.
Projects in Catalan original version or from producers with a fiscal base in Catalonia must include a signed Declaration of Responsibility.
