The 3rd Queer Audiovisual Residency 2026, organized by Fundación Cuórum, is accepting applications until October 13, 2025. It is aimed at filmmakers and visual artists of any nationality with projects in development—including fiction, documentary, audiovisual essay, experimental, or hybrid formats, whether short, medium, or feature-length. The main goal is to strengthen project portfolios through conceptual, creative, and technical support, with a focus on inclusion, sexual and gender diversity, social justice, empathy, and critical thinking.
The program comprises two phases: a virtual phase from February to March 2026 with lectures and one-on-one mentoring; followed by a five-day in-person phase in November 2026 in Mexico City, offering professional guidance, specialized training, and networking opportunities. During this in-person segment, the Foundation will cover accommodation and meals for up to two people per project; travel to Mexico City is the responsibility of the participants. Additionally, selected projects must pay a one-time administrative fee of USD 200.

Queer Audiovisual Residency
The Extremadura Film Residency 2025-2026 is a filmmaking development program aimed at feature film projects in the script and audience strategy phase. It is open to filmmakers from Extremadura, Spain, Portugal, and Ibero-America, selecting a total of 15 projects: 5 from Extremadura, 5 from Spain, and 5 from Ibero-America.
The residency offers personalized mentorship, masterclasses with international experts, networking opportunities, and the chance to present projects at markets and festivals such as MAFIZ and the Extremadura & Ibero-American Film Week.
The program includes on-site workshops in Guadalupe (Cáceres) from November 24–30, 2025, and in Talavera la Real (Badajoz) from March 16–19, 2026. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their projects at cultural and industry events throughout the program.

Extremadura Film Residency
The Extremadura Film Market 2025 is a professional event for filmmakers, producers, and audiovisual industry professionals focused on co-production, distribution, and internationalization of projects. Extremadura Film Market
The Canary Islands International Film Market (CIIF Market) will take place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife from October 27 to 31, 2025. The call will select up to 12 projects in the National and International Section, and 5 Canary Islands projects in the Focus Canarias section. Eligible works include fiction or documentary feature films, series, and docuseries in development, at least 60 minutes long, in Spanish or English, with a minimum of 20% of the budget secured.
Selected projects will gain access to one-to-one meetings with industry professionals, pitching sessions, presentations, and networking activities. Evaluation will focus on quality, feasibility, creative talent, and innovative approaches to format and distribution.
Registration is free, with the deadline set for September 7, 2025. Selected projects must pay a fee of €100, except for Latin American entries, which are exempt. Several awards will be granted, including support for internationalization, post-production services, and special recognitions.

CIIF Market
The Mexican Work in Progress Competition is part of the 20th edition of Shorts México – Mexico International Short Film Festival, taking place from September 1 to 30, 2025. This section is aimed at Mexican short films in post-production or finalization stages. Its goal is to support and showcase projects in development, facilitating their completion and subsequent exhibition.
The call for entries is open from February 17 to May 31, 2025, at 23:59 (CST). Selected projects will have the opportunity to be presented to industry professionals, which can facilitate their completion and distribution. Additionally, they may receive guidance and support to finalize their short films.
