The Cajasol Foundation, in collaboration with Cineclub Vida, is launching a new edition of its already well-established “Cajasol Vida” Andalusian Short Film Competition, which reaches its third call this year. This initiative was created with the aim of continuing to support and showcase the audiovisual talent emerging from Andalusia, championing creativity as a means of cultural transmission, narrative innovation, and a commitment to the new expressive languages that define contemporary cinema.
In a very short time, this competition has become one of the leading platforms for those who find in the short film a powerful tool for communication, a way of looking at the world through brevity, intensity, and directness. In this third edition, the Cajasol Foundation renews its commitment to young Andalusian creators and to the stories that arise from our cities, towns, classrooms, and communities, making room for a plural, critical, and socially engaged perspective.

The selection will be communicated by the Foundation to the finalists on April 10, 2026, and the list of nominees will be made public through the Fundación Cajasol website.
In the second phase, during the final “Screenings Gala” on April 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., the six finalist short films will be screened. A jury composed of two members from Cajasol and two from Cineclub Vida will select the winner of the First Prize, with Cajasol’s casting vote deciding in the event of a tie.
A vote by the attending audience will award the Second Prize (Audience Award), which may not coincide with the jury’s choice. In the event of coincidence, the Second Prize will be awarded to the second most-voted short film by the audience.
