Zapoteco Group: Cinema, Music and Independent Arts, Bad Taste Filmzine, TimeCode Media, Inferno Pictures and El Imperio Negro are pleased to present INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF MUSIC ON CINEMA in its third edition to be held July 29th, 2015 – August 5th, 2015.

Rubber: International Festival of Music on the Cinema, has as goal give a space for the promotion of documentary and fiction films about the musical diversity of the world cultures, the importance of the soundtrack on the cinema, also the revalidation of work and life of classic composers and bands that have been mandatory benchmark of the popular culture.

For its third edition in 2016, RUBBER FIMC invites directors of national and international cinema, to be part of our call for entries for official selection for Competition and Exhibition.

Winners of works in competition will receive the following awards:

BEST FEATURE FILM AWARD
BEST DOCUMENTARY FILM AWARD
BEST SHORT FILM AWARD
BEST SOUNDTRACK FOR FEATURE FILM AWARD
BEST SOUNDTRACK FOR SHORT FILM AWARD

1. BASIS OF PARTICIPATION

1.1 There is no deadline for the number of works per director.

1.2 Film works will be considered in the following categories: Documentary, Feature, Experimental, Animation and Music Video

1.3 The works will be considered for inclusion in sections Competition and Exhibition.

1.4 No fee for registration.

1.5 The production date for participating in the competition cannot be earlier than
2014.

1.6 The maximum duration for any short film competition will be 25 minutes.

2. ENTRY.

2.1 The registration period starts from the publication of this notice until March 25th, 2016.

2. 3. Sending the film work can be carried out as follows:

The cost of using the platform indicates that is 1.5 to € 4 per uploaded material.

The works produced in Mexico can use the service at no cost.

c) Sending of works by airmail. It must be included in the package:

Registration form completed.
2 Blu-Ray copies. We request send copies in good state and tested. Please do not include the film as a data disc.
3 stills, film sheet and synopsis for publication in: billboard, official catalog, playbill and social networks.

VERY IMPORTANT: Specify whether this is the final cut or a working copy and the date of delivery of the finished work for display in case of being selected.

2.4 Shall be the responsibility of the authors and / or producers registration and use of the rights to their works.

2.5 If the film work is to be part of the official competition of the first edition of RUBBER FIMC it may not be withdrawn.

3. SELECTION

3.1 The works will be selected according to the programming department's decision RUBBER FIMC. The decision is final.

3.2 The organization agreed date of exhibition of films. Should be requested for dates after the official exhibitions, RUBBER FIMC notified via email to the producers, directors and / or distributors.

3.3 RUBBER FIMC will contact each of the filmmakers of the selected film work, they report the details of the exhibition of their films.

4. JURY

4.1 The jury will be composed of professionals in the film medium.
RUBBER FIMC will be announced in advance to the members of the jury. Its decision is final.

5. ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES

5.1 RUBBER FIMC will display fragments of selected films for promotional purposes (Website, YouTube, social networks, television, etc.)

5.2 The registration implies full acceptance of these rules.
