Cylnema En Corto 2019 ()

Short films shot in Castilla y León, at least 50% of them, or whose director was born in Castilla y León, are welcome to participate.

• Best Short Film: 1000€ + Statuette
• Best Director: Statuette

• Best Actress: Statuette
• Student Award: Statuette
• Audience Award: 300€

All the short films related to the region Castilla y León are allowed as long as they have been filmed at least in a 50% in the region or their director was born or lives in Castilla y León.

We only accept films that have been produced before January 2018.

All works must be submitted in digital format with a resolution of Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels. Accepted formats are as follows:

• MOV codec h264 with a rate not less than 15 mbps
• MP4 codec h264 with a rate not less than 15 mbps
• MP4 codec MXF to 35 mbps.

Once the short film is submitted the organization will contact the participant to provide them with a FTP server to upload their work. Details will be provided individually to each participant.

All genres are accepted. However, they cannot be longer than 20 minutes, including credits.
Films not made in Spanish must have Spanish subtitles.

Registration:

Participants who meet all the requirements will be able to complete the form through CYLNEMA EN CORTO website (www.cylnemaencorto.es) or through Festhome.

Jury:

Influential people in the film world as directors, film entrepreneurs, journalists, actors,etc. of Castilla y León.

Veredict:

A committee of experts will make a shortlist of 3 short films by category among all the art works received. The jury will choose a winner in each categorie among these finalists. The winning work as best short film will be fully broadcast at the gala awards ceremony.


Participants may opt for all categories except for the Student Prize to which only candidates who prove that they are still studying audiovisual-related subjects or that their short film has been shot in the framework of an educational project and that do not exceed the 30 years of age on the closing date of candidacies (September 1, 2019).

Participant’s obligations:

Participants will sign over the rights of his short film temporarily and non-exclusively to RTVCyL through a contract for broadcasting on the website of RTVCyL ( www.rtvcyl.es ) for the duration of the contest and during the gala award on the theater. In addition, participants will authorize RTVCyL to use fragments of his work for advertising purposes.
The finalists will commit to attend to the gala to collect his award and, if that is not possible, they will have to send a thanks video.


Public Broadcasting:


The short films submitted to the festival, may be broadcast by RTVCyL through various communication channels and public broadcasting of his ownership or of third parties, for example, television channels, websites, apps or digital and audiovisual platforms, YouTube channels and others .
Participants sign the rights of public dissemination and broadcast of the art works presented to the festival over to RTVCyL whose effects, as indicated above, consider the broadcasting of the art works through channels owned by third parties, being required in all cases the identification of the author, director, editor and production, who hold the rights that belong to them and which data should be provided by the participant in completing the registration form.
For all purposes the participant guarantees to hold the ownership of the art works, or be entitled to sign the rights over that were appropriate for the purposes listed in the preceding paragraphs.



Personal Data Treatment:

To the effects of the Ley Orgánica 15/1999, de 13 de december, of Personal Data Protection, the SOCIEDAD RADIO TELEVISIÓN DE CASTILLA Y LEÓN (la CHANNEL) informs to all participants of the incorporation of all the personal data given, in execution of this iniciative, to the automated archives owned by the channel, as well as the automated treatment that they are going to be subjected with the purpose to be employed in the festival development, or the subsequent activities if the participant is chosen as a contestant.

All participants will be able to exercise the rights of access, rectification, opposition or cancelation of their personal data according to the Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos de Carácter personal (LO 15/1999) by written means, attaching a DNI copy or passport to RTVCyL. The participants consent expressly that the data given could be transfer to the company RTVCyL with the purposes indicated in the previous paragraph.


Acceptance of Regulations:

The participation in the FESTIVAL by the registration through the means indicated above implies the acceptance of the rules of competition.
