The Portland Unknown returns!

Our goal is to curate a gallery of film for the underground, under-known, rough and raw filmmaker. Low Budget, analog format, top priority. The Portland Unknown Film Festival is here to showcase films of highest quality and deepest heart!

Your goal is to bring us into worlds we've never seen before. Take us on a lucid dream through your mind. Teach us something new. Show us the light. Make us go, "Huh?"

On October 19th and 20th, 2018 at Disjecta , the Portland Unknown Film Festival will be featuring the brightest and best hidden gems from around the Milky Way. The festival will consist of multiple segments including a rowdy 2-minute festival where the audience is the judge.

he Portland Unknown Film Festival accepts entries of all lengths and styles. Entries will be judged and curated by The Unknown board of directors.

ENTRY FEES & DEADLINES:

Juried Films
Fall - Through January 1st /$7
Winter - January 2nd - March 19th /$10
Spring - March 20th - June 13th /$15
Summer - June 14th - July 10th /$30
ALWAYS $7 for Pacific Northwest Filmmakers - This includes Oregon, Washington, Idaho, British Columbia, and Northern California.

2-Minute
Free for Willamette Valley residents // $7 for outside Portland Bubble
Submission includes 1 ticket to the 2-minute festival event
Rules and Restrictions: First 90 minutes of 2-Minute submissions are automatically accepted. Once 90 minutes of content is received, the public will be notified and submissions will be closed immediately. Films must be 120 seconds in length or shorter. This portion of the film festival is not curated. No Pornography. No commercials or advertisements. All content must be original and/or belong to submitter. ONE ENTRY PER FILMMAKER!

Music Videos
Free to all! For 2018, we are accepting feminist // body positive works. Please send upbeat content! All videos over 6 minutes will be automatically disqualified.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Submitted films agree that (1) their film may be shown at The Portland Unknown Film Festival, (2) the submitter owns the copyright of the film or is authorized by the copyright holders to submit the film, (3) any music, archive footage or any other such material that is contained within your film has been approved by the copyright holders. You may be required to provide written evidence of this, (4) no post submission edits accepted without festival approval.

A submission does not guarantee a screening.
