Inizio del Festival: 28 novembre 2023      Festival si chiude: 30 novembre 2023

Monthly festival / A/V event "Live Soundtrack" is seeking for short or feature films without dialogue, which will be accompanied by alternative soundtracking and live performances by various electronic / ambient/ electroacoustic musicians, during the 8th season of the event (April - December 2023). Festival organiser is the curator of the musicians for each event, but a collaboration with the original composer of the film is also possible, if in Europe!

Fee is also a support donation for the organisation which will cross a lot of borders.

Please contact kinopleme@gmail.com for any further questions.

P.S For submitters from countries that are not supported by Paypal please contact via mail or submit via the "student" category.

Event has preference towards :
- experimental cinema, analog cinema, abstract film, neo-expressionism, neo-surrealism, structural film, adult-themed animation (non-camera, paint on glass, computer animation, stop-motion, claymation , pinscreen, claymation, cutout...), found footage, video art, landscape films...

Films will be screened in Belgrade and across Europe, in micro-movie theatres, at open-air events, guest events on experimental / animation film festivals, and as a part of the "Kinoskop" (Analog experimental film festival based in Belgrade).

Any year of production is allowed.

Live Soundtrack is a monthly film music / audio-visual event, incepted as a continuation of Kino pleme , now-defunct analog film lab, previously based in Inex Film in Belgrade, Serbia. Lab has produced several films on Super 8mm and 16mm and couple of a/v perfomances, while Live Soundtrack has become its regular program in 2014 and is still active and continuing to grow.

Live Soundtrack can be described with epithets of adventurous programming and spirit of re-discovery. Through screening rarely seen works of short experimental cinema and animation from around the world, event has brought together musicans from electronic, ambient and electro-acoustic circuits, and established an atmosphere of synaesthetic happenings and synthesis of sounds in a manner which links it to the scoring of more forward looking works of cinema. During the course of over 60+ events, 180+ musicians and visual artists from 16 countries have performed on the event. Organised in four countries so far (Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria and North Macedonia), it is on a continuous tour across Europe in 2023.

Permanent program manager / curator at the event is Marko Milićević, co-founder of the lab, a filmmaker, musician and music journalist.

Programs are non-competitive

- Short or feature films and animation without dialogue

- Any format is allowed, with special focus on analog cinema (super 8mm, 16mm...)

- Any year of production is allowed
