BUtiful is a film festival run by students at Bournemouth University. This initiative was born two years ago and is now at its third edition. Due to the success of the past editions, BUtiful has already managed to get recognised internationally. Its collaborations and partnerships reflect the internationality of the Festival and the support given by media-related institutions.

The fundamental idea behind BUtiful is to support and sustain young filmmakers, giving them the chance to show their works at an international level. Last year we received more than 300 submissions from over 40 countries and it is our desire to make this festival an opportunity for international contamination and to sustain artistic multiculturalism. BUtiful offers real good opportunities to get artists and the audience what they deserve. In other words we are the next step for these young filmmakers from no audience or recognition to their first acknowledgement. All this is done through our belief in collaboration, courage and creativity through the eyes of young media people.
