"The CINEMEGAGUAY FESTIVAL has decided to POSTPONE the celebration of the festival (expected from 20 to 27 March 2020) because of the insecurity that is causing the coronavirus process. As soon as Health Services confirm the downfall of this epidemic, we will propose new dates and they will be communicated to you in advance. This does not mean that we will defer the information of the selected, our jury is evaluating all the categories. We will communicate it on March 26th through Festhome."


The international children's and youth festival CINEMEGAGUAY was born with the idea of ​​bringing the film industry closer to the younger public, so that they learn to use the audiovisual language, due to its special relevance in society and education, while having fun.

Our objectives:
To promote cinema among the youngest audience, with the idea of ​​being able to show short films and feature films made by and for children and young people.

It is a clear commitment to the cinema in the educational field, to promote the early and international level, passion and love for this artistic genre.

1- Finality


To promote cinema among the younger audience, with the idea of being able to screen short films made by and for children and adolescents.

It is a clear commitment to cinema within the educational plane, to promote from an early age and internationally the passion and love for this artistic genre. For this reason the third edition of the CINEMAGUAY festival will be held itinerantly from 23 to 27 March 2020 through educational centers, associations...

In addition, on March 27, the closing gala will be held at the Teatro Auditorio de Roquetas de Mar.


2- Participants' requirements


2.1 - All producers or filmmakers who own the rights to the works they submit may participate. Each participant may present the number of films they wish, as long as each film is presented with independent support and with its own registration form.

2.2 – Audiovisual works must be accompanied by:

- Id of the director or producer thereof, if you are a minor, this document will be accompanied by the documents of the guardian of the minor.

- Contact details (email, telephone number and postal address in force).

- Promotional photos (from the film, posters, from the director, etc.).


3 - Audiovisual works requirements


There will be three sections: Short films, feature films and documentaries.

The audiovisual fiction or animation projects presented are divided into 2 categories:

A) Performed by children or adolescents (child and youth category)

B) Performed by professionals (children's or youth theme)

The dialogues of the film must be in Spanish, otherwise the film must include subtitles in Spanish.

Projects may not contain scenes or images that are not suitable for all audiences.

The maximum duration of the short films submitted to the competition will be 20 min.

The minimum duration of the feature films submitted to the competition will be 60 min.

In case of documentaries it will be extended to a maximum of 30 minutes.


4 - Registration conditions


(a) Jobs with production prior to 01 January 2017 shall not be allowed.

b) The jury may declare any of the awards void and their judgment shall be unappealable. The organization reserves the right to change the regulations.

c) Physically received works will not be returned (unless required by the author, in which case he will bear the costs).

d) 15 days before the celebration of the festival, the name of the selected works will be released to the competition, through the web: www.festivalcinemegaguay.com and by email to the participants.

e) We do not commit to the sending of the trophy, if the winners do not come to pick it up at the gala.


5 - Enrollment deadline


The registration date will be opened on December 3, 2020 and closed on February 28, 2020, for jobs received by post this deadline must be on the shipping slip, the organization will only accept those received a maximum of 7 calendar days from the closing date. Registration at the festival implies acceptance of the festival's bases.


6- Delivery format

Participants can send their projects through Festhome platforms or via pen drive or online (wetransfer-dropbox-google drive-etc.) to the following addresses:
