The International Human Rights and Film Festival Venezuela, pretends to be a communicational platform to allow cinematographers around the world to project movies that contemplate one or more topics in Human Rights matters, involving publics and private’s organizations and Non Governmental Organizations, nationally and foreign.

Audience Awards: Best Feature Film, Documentary and Short Film (animation, documentary or fiction).

Submission:


1. The story must contemplate one or more topics related to Human Rights.

2. Interested filmmakers must submit information of their film. Forms that do not contain full information will be returned. In that case, the movie won´t be submitted until the filmmakers send us the form again with the complete information, especially those questions that are mandatory (without exceptions).

3. Format HD.

4. Without exceptions all participants must send us poster and official trailer with Spanish audio or with Spanish subtitles. (Mandatory).

5. Films in languages other than Spanish must have at least Spanish subtitles. (Mandatory).

6. Filmmakers must make the payment by: deposit, transference or credit card (depending the country):

Submissions and entry fee payment can also be made through Festhome (www.festhome.com).

7. The payment will not be returned in the following situations:
7.1 If the submission and revision process has been completed.
7.2 If filmmaker doesn´t send the entire information requested before the deadline.

8. The Organization won´t receive any kind of mandatory information after deadline. (Without exceptions).


Pre-selection:


1. On July 31th, the Festival will inform by email, website and social media about the selected films to run for the following prices:
a. Best Human Rights Documentary Feature Film 2014 / People Award Best Documentary Feature Film 2014.
b. Best Human Rights Fiction Feature Film 2014 / People Award Best Fiction Feature Film 2014.
c. Best Human Rights Short Film 2014 / People Award Best Short Film 2014.

2. The Festival does not send out rejection letters. We will contact by email only with those filmmakers whose films have been accepted to participate in the Festival.

3. The Organization will be in charged to download and make a DVD copy of pre-selection films.

4. The Organization and the Festival will preserve and protect films and information only WITHOUT COMERCIAL GOALS.

5. Filmmakers consent that their movie can be projected nationally or internationally, during the Festival.

6. The filmmaker, who wishes to send us a DVD copy, must send an email before, to dd.hhycinevzla@gmail.com.

7. Nationals and/or Internationals pre-selected filmmakers, will try to visit our country during the Festival. The Organization is open to help bringing those who try to come and share their experience.

8. Pre-select films will be exhibited in movie theaters and on our website, during the Festival, with the intention to increase the participation of People around the world, and be part of People Awards.

9. Money Awards could change depending on movies submission and future sponsors.
