Kinorum is a student film festival located in Monterrey Mexico. It includes master classes and workshops taught by specialists and there is also the screening of the short films in competition.

The screening of the selected films will be announced with the official festival program. The dates and times of each screening will be organized by the organizing committee of the festival.

An independent jury will select the films that will be screened at the event. The jury's decision will be final and cannot be changed.

Shorts that have been screened at festivals or online will be eligible.

Shorts must be completed (along with paperwork) at the time of application.

Short films of any genre are accepted.


RULES TO APPLY

The short films must have a minimum duration of 1 minute and a maximum 15. Including the initial titles and final credits.
The projects must have been completed between January 1, 2019 and March 22, 2020.

Registration for the festival is free.

FORMAT REQUIRED WHEN DELIVERED

Standard: 1080p (1920 x 1080)
Aspect ratio: 16: 9
Audio: Stereo, sample rate 48khz (128 kbps)
Codec: MPEG 4 (.mp4) 4.5 Mbps or H.264 (.mov)
Apple Pro Res 4444 will also be accepted.
Duration: maximum 00:20:00 (including initial titles and final credits)

SELECTION

The selected films will be announced on April 3, 2020.

The official selection will be chosen by a specialized committee.
The registration of the film does not guarantee its exhibition at the festival or its entry into competition.

Filmmakers whose short films have been chosen will be notified in a timely manner.

If your movie is selected for screening, you will be asked to submit the following documents:

A high resolution file of your short film (Apple ProRes mov).

A complete synopsis of your film, brief biographical record of key cast and crew.

Four color stills of the production. These should be a minimum of two different images of the short film and two photographs from behind the scenes. There must be a landscape file (.jpg 300dpi) and a portrait file (.jpg 300dpi).
Headshots of the Director and Producer, and email contacts of your choice (to be published with the program).
