"NOS VEMOS EN 16:9 - BOGOTA HOMEMADE SHORT FILM FESTIVAL" is made to reactivate the audiovisual production in Bogotá city (Colombia) and with this new announcement, we are looking to encourage the creation of shortfilms made at home by professional artists and new creators, while setting colaborating networks and audiovisual academic encounters, so we all understand the artist's perspectic about the current pandemic, testing their recursiveness and show original and creative stories, while complying with all sanitary measurements stablised because of COVID-19.
This announcement is intended for promote audiovisual artists to their gradual comeback to labor through a promotion campain of their shortfilms under all biosecurity protocols provided by the Motion No. 666 of 2020 by the Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social.
- Nos Vemos en 16:9's Award for Best Professional Shortfilm: Two million colombian pesos ($2.000.000 COP) in cash.
- Unitec's Award for Best director: time of use in Unitec's facilities for recording and finishing your next project, as described below:
Photography studio: 3 sessions of 4 hours each.
Film and TV studio: 3 sessions of 4 hours each.
Audio post production: 3 sessions of 2 hours each.
Image post production: 3 sessions of 2 hours each.
- Librosenlinea.co's Award for Best Script: "Historia del Cine" a 5 volume encyclopedia valued in one million three hundred thousand colombian pesos ($1.300.000 COP).
- Salón Internacional de la Luz Award for Best Photography: a coupon for workshops imparted for 2021's Salón Internacional de la Luz.
- Musikamia - Fiona Records Award for Best Score: private and personalized consulting from Musikamia and Fiona Records for a future project.
- Catapulta's Award for Best Editing: VFX consulting for filmmaking.
- Audience's Award: undefined. Every shortfilm will be available for a specific period of time online (Festival's youtube channel), on Facebook post and the most liked shortfilm in both will win.
Important: Every user who likes every post must be suscribed on the Youtube channel, and should follow our page on Facebook and Instagram.
- All shortfilm representatives must be under 18 years old at the moment of submission, with an ID issued. Even if the name for the category is "Professionals", it is not excluding, meaning that anyone will be able to produce a shortfilm and sent it. However, if you do not have any experience, due to high participation, we suggest to participate on the Nuevos Creadores category, available on the website.
- All shortfilms must be filmed at home. All locations shown might be adpated to any scenario needed, but never being outside unless it's private property, public spaces that are not residences, houses, or any other place that might be used as home on a daily basis.
- The short film representative must be a Bogotá resident exclusively. However, it is allow that the shortfilm was filmed outside of the city or country, always complying with the festival guidelines. The evaluator committie will reach the short film representative directly if there is any question regarding this topic.
- Scenes cannot display any violation to the biosecurity motion named before (crowds, wrong use of possible contaminate objects, etc). If rules are not accomplished, the shortfilm is subject to discualification.
- Shortfilm producers or representatives must fill all requeried information on Festhome in order to send the piece, in which they have to include a motivation letter, a link to reel with previous experience and contact information. In adittion, this form will be the only way of participation.
- Shortfilms must be between 1min and 7min lenght.
- Shortfilms must have been produced and filmed after March the 20, 2020.
- Shortfilms may have been shown or subbmited to previous festivals but cannot be posted in any video plattform when it's being sent to this Festival. If it was posted before, it has to be private in order to be part of the process. If this rule is not accomplished, the shortfilm will be disqualified.
- There is no specific genre. All genres like fiction, animation, documentary or any genre is accepted.
- Any pornografy, human traffiking scene, child pornografy, animal abuse or any illegal activity displayed on any shortfilm is prohibited and will be dequalified inmediatly.
- With any submission you make on the platform, you accept all information-use terms and conditions for activities and information divulgation related with the Festival, also you accept that any non-compliance will be of your responsability.
- The participant must be authorized for the shortfilm divulgation, must have all moral, intelectual rights, copyright for all scenes and any non-compliance will be exclusivly participant's responsability.

NOS VEMOS EN 16: 9 seeks with the PANORAMIC 16:9 section, designed as an exhibition section with an official selection of 15 short films from all the cities of Colombia, (except Bogotá) and from anywhere in the world, to know the different perspectives of artists in this current pandemic, testing their resourcefulness in order to show stories that are original and creative while not breaking the security protocols provided by COVID-19.
