- Caracol de la Tierra, recognized with a trophy in Triana pottery and reserved for those works whose producers have their registered office in the province of Seville and / or whose directors accredit birth or residence in this province.
- Special mention to the Best Interpretation, recognized with a diploma.
- Mention Bechdel for the best short film that meets the Bechdel Test, recognized with a diploma.

1. You can submit works released after January 1, 2015 and that have not been selected in previous editions of this same contest.

2. The plot, the genre and the filming format of the works presented are free (both fiction and documentary films, musicals, etc. may be present), although regarding the content the condition indicated in point 3 must be taken into account. .

3. Works that show firearms will not be eligible for selection.

4. The works to contest will not be able to exceed the 16'00 '' minutes of duration (including the titles of credit) and will have like base language the Castilian or they will take subtitles in Castilian if the language in which they have been filmed is another one.

5. The works can be submitted through an online viewing link that must be sent (together with the corresponding password, if private) to the email cortoporcaracoles@gmail.com or through the Festhome platform.

6. The deadline for submitting the films begins on Tuesday, April 10 and ends at 23:59 on Monday, April 30, 2018.

7. Next to the viewing link, a technical-artistic sheet and a brief synopsis or commentary of the plot should be sent, as well as a telephone number and a contact email.

8. The organizers will make a selection of shorts for the sessions in which the Festival's screenings will be developed and before the Festival's date they will be contacted by email or phone call with the persons and / or entities responsible for the events. Selected works.

9. By submitting an online viewing link to the contest, participants also agree to provide a link to download a video file with the work in question (in sufficient quality to be projected on the big screen), once Your selection in the festival is communicated to you.

10. Two sections are established: Official and Off Caracoles. In the first, the selected shorts will compete from 27 to 30 June 2018 for the prizes that are detailed in point 11. The second section will have non-competitive sample character and will be held in August 2018, on a date yet to be specified. Those participants who wish their works to be taken into account only in the selection process of the Official Section to the contest, must do so expressly in the registration process of their shorts by email to cortosporcaracoles@gmail.com. Otherwise, it will be understood that the organization can also schedule these works in Off Caracoles, the non-competitive sample.

11. About the shorts selected to participate in the Official Section, different juries composed of people related to the field of culture will decide the following prizes and mentions:

Another award will also be given, the Audience Snail, voted by the attendees to the screenings and recognized with a Triana pottery trophy.

12. The Slow Chamber Association undertakes not to project the selected works in any other activity without previously notifying its managers and requesting permission again.

13. Participation in this contest implies the acceptance of its bases. The organization of Cortos Por Caracoles reserves the right to reform them at some point, always remaining as a valid reference the version published on the festival website (http://cortosporcaracoles.com).
