The RAW 2025 call offers two residency modalities: Creative Residency for filmmakers and Critical Residency for critics and theorists of documentary cinema. Both are part of an integrated program that includes phases such as the ARCHÉ→WORK lab (Doclisboa), residencies in Lisbon, the Doc’s Kingdom seminar (Odemira), and the MÁRGENES/WORK lab (Madrid). The Creative Residency targets documentary feature projects in development, production, or post-production, providing workshops, mentorship, and spaces to advance audiovisual creation. The Critical Residency supports young critics developing research or writing projects on nonfiction cinema, offering tutoring, festival immersion, and specialized guidance. The call is unified for both modalities, with specific forms and requirements, taking place between October and November 2025 in various venues in Portugal and Spain. The program aims to strengthen Ibero-American documentary cinema through training, exchange, and creative support.

RAW RESIDENCIES - ARCHÉ WORK
The DAMA Cortos 2025 call is aimed at DAMA members (Audiovisual Copyright Association) in Spain. It supports fiction short film production, excluding animation and documentary. Scripts must be original, unpublished, up to 10 minutes long, and feasible to shoot in one day with up to three locations within the same city. Each participant may submit up to two scripts.
Applications are open from May 16 to June 9, 2025 (2:00 PM CET). The winning script will be produced by the company El Gesto Cinematográfico, with a budget up to €25,000. The winner will be announced during the first week of September 2025.
Applicants must submit detailed project information, personal documentation, and a signed declaration by email to damacortos@damautor.es.

DAMA Cortos
The 2025 call for Cine Chileno del Futuro (Development line) targets Chilean feature films (fiction or nonfiction) in the scriptwriting or early development stage. Projects must be directed by Chilean filmmakers or permanent residents, and filmed mostly in Chile. The submission deadline is June 10, 2025.
Selected projects will receive specialized mentoring in scriptwriting and narrative development, provided by national and international professionals. The mentoring process will begin in August and continue through December 2025.

The Costa Rica Media Market (CRMM) 2025 is an audiovisual industry platform taking place June 24–25 in San José, Costa Rica. It aims to connect professionals from Central America and the Caribbean with international producers, distributors, buyers, and financiers. The event offers opportunities for co-productions, content distribution, and networking. Activities include one-on-one meetings, panels, project pitches, and an exclusive tour of Costa Rica’s film-friendly locations. The 2025 call for Cine Chileno del Futuro (Finalization line) is aimed at Chilean feature films (fiction or nonfiction) in the rough cut or post-production stage. Projects must be directed by Chilean filmmakers or permanent residents, and filmed mostly in Chile. The submission deadline is June 10, 2025.
Selected projects will receive specialized mentoring in editing and finalization strategies. Monetary awards ($1,200,000 CLP per category), post-production services from Atómica and Sonamos, and an internationalization prize supported by CAIA will be granted.
