The Rio Film Festival originated in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil—one of the world's major hubs for cinema and film festivals.

Founded in 2026 by filmmaker Enzo De Luca, the festival is dedicated to honoring outstanding films, whether independent or studio-produced, and regardless of whether they were released on VOD platforms or in theaters.

Following the festival, selected films receive an "RFF SELECTED" certificate. The festival charges no entry fees and takes place entirely online. Please review the rules to ensure your production meets the criteria.

"RFF CERTIFICATE"

1- Films must adhere to the minimum and maximum runtime requirements, whether short or feature-length;

2- Only films released on or after January 1, 2024, are eligible;

3- For foreign-language films: Brazilian Portuguese or english subtitles must be included;

4- Any AI-generated content—whether image, audio, or script (100%)—is strictly prohibited;

5- The same project may not be submitted multiple times.

*All submitted films will be viewed, and the top 5, based on the festival's criteria, will receive the RFF Certificate, comprising 4 short films and 1 feature film.
