The Cremano Film Festival is organized by the Municipality of San Giorgio a Cremano and the Osservatorio Cinematografico Vesuviano Cultural Association. Massimo De Matteo serves as the event's artistic director. Its primary objective is to promote and showcase cinema, with a particular focus on exploring new forms of audiovisual language. The festival highlights productions by young or independent filmmakers that address themes of significant social and cultural value. The central theme of this fourth edition is "EMPAT-IA" (Empathy/AI). The aim is to showcase works that evoke "inner resonance," encompassing both projects created using traditional techniques and those produced with Artificial Intelligence, which are selected in separate categories.

The winners in the short film categories will be awarded the CFF26 trophy during the gala evening scheduled for November 8, 2026. Winners shall have the right to mention the award in any future context and in all forms of promotional material for their work.

Participation in the competition is entirely free of charge and must take place exclusively via the Festhome.com platform.

Works containing explicitly offensive or defamatory material, as well as works of a promotional nature, are ineligible. Each author may submit a maximum of two works.

Short films must be in Italian or, if in a foreign language, must include Italian subtitles. The maximum permitted duration for each work is 15 minutes, including opening and closing credits. Both previously unreleased and previously released works (including those submitted to other national or international competitions) are eligible, provided they were produced no earlier than 2022 and align with the festival's objectives. Each participant bears sole responsibility for the content of their work.

Submitted material will not be returned; it will become part of the Festival archive and may be used—on a non-profit basis—for educational and cultural screenings.
