PREMIÀ FANTÀSTIC is the 1st Fantastic Short Film Festival of Premià de Mar, organized by the Film Committee of the Ateneo Ibèria.

The short films will be divided into different categories and will compete for the following awards:

Best Short Film – Ibèria Section – Trophy
Best Short Film – Catalunya Section – Trophy
Best Short Film – Litoral / Maresme Section – Trophy
Best Short Film – Animation Section – Trophy
Audience Award – Trophy
Honorable Mention – Diploma

All selected short films will also be eligible for the following award:

Best Short Film – 1st PREMIÀ FANTÀSTIC Festival – Trophy and €150

The trophies will be presented during the awards ceremony. If a winner is unable to collect the trophy at the festival, it will be sent by post. Only the trophy will be sent.

If the festival does not receive any communication from the winner within one month, the trophy will not be sent.

PREMIÀ FANTÀSTIC
PREMIÀ SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Any person of legal age from Spain, Portugal, and Andorra may participate, without distinction of any kind.

We accept fantasy, science fiction, and horror short films, not exceeding 15 minutes, produced between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2026.

The works may be shot in any format, but they may only be submitted in MP4 through the official platforms the festival works with.

The call for submissions will be open from October 19, 2026, to February 14, 2027.

Works that are not in Spanish or Catalan must be subtitled in one of these languages. The subtitling material must be provided no later than one month before the start of the festival; otherwise, the works may be rejected and replaced in the final program.

Each short film must be accompanied by:
-Title, -duration, -Year, -Synopsis, -Country and filming location, -language, -Director, -Actors, -Production company, -Poster and still frame, -Email, -Phone number, -Address

The festival is open to all types of filmmakers, whether professionals or amateurs.

The works will be reviewed by the PREMIÀ FANTÀSTIC team to be eligible to participate in the Festival. If any immoral conduct is observed, they will not be accepted into the competition.

The selected works will be those that compete for the competition prizes and will be screened at our festival. This selection will be notified by email.

The works can be submitted through the Festhome platform, with a submission fee of €2 for each short film.

The organization reserves the right to hold screenings at other festivals or exhibitions with which collaborations are established. In these cases, it will be noted that they are works submitted to the PREMIÀ FANTÀSTIC Short Film Festival.

The individuals responsible for works that include third-party participation must have the corresponding authorizations for their exhibition. The festival declines all responsibility regarding the image rights of the works.
