The International Boat of Culture Festival presents its Short Film Fest, with the aim of raising awareness of the different aspects of diversity.

With the motto “Sail. Explore. Create – The taste of Diversity”, our festival focal point is to gather voices from all over the world talking about multiculturalism through short films.

What is the taste of Diversity?
Does it taste sweet? bitter? or is it a taste that changes throughout the time, context, and other elements?
The concept of diversity of our festival is wide and includes all forms of life and expression.

We accept all themes and genres, taking into account the limitation of lenght per short.

Who can participate:

Filmmakers from any level, nacionality or age, interested in showing their point of view and understanding of the main topic of the festival: Sail, Explore, Create ­ The taste of diversity.

The participation of the festival is free of any charge.

The required data from every short submitted is:

­ Director name & surname

­ Screenshot and/or poster

­ English subtitles embedded

Submissions:

In order to be part of the Short Film Festival, you need to follow one of the below options before the deadline:

Deadlines:

The timeframe to submit the short films is from 18th April until 20th May 2016. By sending the video, the participant agrees with the terms & conditions hereby described.

Requirements of the Short Films:

­Maximum length 20 min

­They must be original works (plagiarized shorts will be disqualified)

­Every filmmaker may send as many short films and they want. However, each of them must be submitted separately

­ In case the short film is not in English language, English subtitles must be added

­The creator(s) of the short film are responsible of its content. The International Boat of Culture team does not take legal responsibility it.

Promotion and screenings:

­ Every short film will be projected in:

· Łódź, Poland (During the International Boat of Culture Festival)
· Katowice, Poland (in Kino Kosmos)
· More places over Europe to be announced soon...

Prizes:

The prize for the winners will be announced shortly.

Criteria:

The jury will take into account the creativity, originality, composition, script and technical resources.
