If you are passionate about photography, cinematography and other means of audiovisual expression, your work could be displayed in FotoFilm Tijuana.
FotoFilm Tijuana invites you to participate in its open call to national and international artists in the disciplines of: photography, film, video, animation, illustration, multimedia and music production.

FotoFilm Tijuana features: photography, film, documentary, video, short film, animation, illustration, applied arts, and music.

If you want to be part of an inclusive festival where you can learn and be inspired by experts in the art of light. Send us your material to participate according to the criteria of each category.

FOTOFILM OBJECTIVES

Become a platform that promotes projects and proposals that enrich the cultural offerings in Tijuana, Mexico thus opening new areas of entrepreneurship and professional development for the promotion of artists, talents and creative people endeavoring in: photography, cinema, animation, illustration, multimedia, arts applied and music.

Encourage and motivate the development of the cinematographic, photographic and multimedia industry in the region, generating a space for exchange, creation, promotion and learning that reinforces Tijuana as a destination for artistic production, talent search and cultural tourism, inspiring amongst attendees and participants the emergence of new creators, artists and cultural projects.

FFTJ 2018 Dates: Friday July 27th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th
Venue: Esplanade and Cineteca Carlos Monsiváis at CECUT.
Operating hours: Friday from 17:00 to 22:00 [5:00 to 10:00 PM]
Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 22:00 [11:00 AM to 10:00 PM]

A committee will select five finalists for each available category to be shown at the Visual Jukebox during the festival which will compete for a combined $5000 USD cash prize

LEGAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Upon submitting, the participant admits that he is legally authorized to authorize FotoFilm Tijuana Cultural Festival, use and display of the submitted work with which they participate, without this constituting the transfer of copyright or exclusive use or author rights. The authorization granted by the participant is for FotoFilm Tijuana Cultural Festival to use, exhibit or project the submitted work, takes effect as long as the submitting participant has unique and exclusive rights for the promotion and cultural diffusion of work and that does not grant any rights for any commercial purpose and extending said authorization to any digital platform linked to FotoFilm Tijuana Cultural Festival in its 2018 edition.

The authorization that the participant grants to FotoFilm Tijuana Cultural Festival about his work, extends to the use of image rights over stills, photographs and audiovisual material to be used in format or material support in printed editions, covering the use in electronic, optical, magnetic, social networks, data messages or similar and in general for any known medium or to be known in the future; the use of rights are given without any geographical or territorial limitation.

The participant is solely responsible for the brands, designs, names, registered trademarks, titles, models, music, essays or any other intellectual property right and / or content in general that may contain the work with which the participant participates, thus safeguarding FotoFilm Tijuana Cultural Festival of any claim on the particular and assuming the legal consequences and costs in case of breaking the corresponding laws. The only consideration with which FotoFilm Tijuana Cultural Festival is committed by the use, exhibition or projection of the participant's work, is the recognition of the names of its filmmakers and those credited on the work.

FotoFilm Tijuana Cultural Festival will review and select the works submitted by participants, reserving the right to refuse works that it considers improper to the festival ends and at any time FotoFilm Tijuana Cultural Festival may ask the participant for the documentation he deems appropriate about his work.

The participant accepts the terms and conditions when sending his work through the digital platform Filmfreeway. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in disqualication.
