The K-lidoscopi Cultural Association in Cullera is holding its 15th Short Film Festival. The Short Film Festival features three categories (Fiction, Animation and Documentary) and serves as a selection event for the GOYA Awards.

Description
The K-lidoscopi Cultural Association of Cullera is holding its 15th Short Film Festival in accordance with the following RULES:
PARTICIPANTS
The competition is open to all filmmakers residing in Spain.
FORMAT
Short films must be submitted via the online platform FestHome, accompanied by an entry fee of €4 per film: www.festhome.com
THEME
Short films will be classified into the following categories:
– Fiction
– Documentary
– Animation
DURATION OF SHORT FILMS
Each short film must be at least 1 minute long and may not exceed 30 minutes. Works produced prior to 2025 will not be accepted.
LANGUAGE
Works may be submitted in any language, provided that if the dialogue is in a language other than Valencian or Spanish, they must include subtitles in one of
these two languages.
SUBMISSION
The deadline for registration and submission of short films is 22 June 2026. The organisers reserve the right to use the works for cultural or promotional purposes, whether or not they have won an award in the competition, either before or after the Festival. Works selected in previous editions will not be accepted.
JURY
All entries received will be viewed by a jury, which will select those to be considered as finalists and which will form the OFFICIAL SECTION. These screenings will be open to the public and will take place from 30 September to 2 October 2026 at the Cullera Market Auditorium. The winners will be announced to the award-winning filmmakers and, more generally, through the media. The jury’s decision is final.
OTHER SECTIONS
In addition to the OFFICIAL SECTION, the 15th edition of the K-lidoscopi Short Film Festival will feature the following sections:
- PERSPECTIVE SECTION
A jury will select 5 short films to be screened on Thursday 1 October 2026 at the Cullera Market Auditorium, which will be judged by the audience through a direct vote during the screenings.
The highest-rated short film will be awarded the PERSPECTIVE SPECIAL PRIZE and announced at the Festival’s Closing Gala.
- ANIMANT SECTION
A jury will select 5 animated short films to be screened on the morning of Tuesday 29 September 2026 to primary school pupils. The pupils will choose the BEST short film, which will be awarded the ANIMANT SPECIAL PRIZE and announced at the Festival’s Closing Ceremony.
- SOMRIURE SECTION
A jury will select six comedy short films to be screened in the Barrio del Pozo neighbourhood of Cullera as part of the UN POU DE CINE event on the last Thursday of June and every Thursday in July 2026, for audiences of all ages. The audience attending each screening will vote on each of the short films shown.
The short film that has received the highest score after the six weeks of screenings will be awarded the SOMRIURE SPECIAL PRIZE. This prize will be announced at the Festival’s Closing Gala.
The short films selected for the PERSPECTIVA SECTION, ANIMANT SECTION and SOMRIURE SECTION may or may not form part of the Festival’s OFFICIAL SECTION.
CLOSING CEREMONY AND AWARDS CEREMONY
It will take place on Saturday 3 October 2026 in the Mercado Auditorium at 8.30 pm.

Winners or a representative on their behalf must attend the awards ceremony. Failure to do so will be taken to mean that they forfeit both the trophy and the prize money.
The prize money will be paid by bank transfer within a maximum of 90 days from the day following the festival’s closing ceremony.
The Festival will provide the winning short films in each category and section with one hotel room for two people for the night of 3 to 4 October and will cover their daily expenses throughout the day. Travel expenses will be borne by the participants.
The Festival reserves the right to cover the travel, accommodation and daily subsistence expenses of any participant it deems appropriate due to their artistic significance and who may promote the Festival through their participation in press conferences, special appearances, social media content or any of the scheduled parallel activities.
NOTES
The organisers accept no liability whatsoever for any loss or accidental damage that may arise from the handling of entries submitted to the competition.
No short film may be withdrawn from the festival once selected.
By entering this competition, entrants agree to abide by these rules and regulations, as well as the organisers’ decisions regarding any situation not covered herein.
