The first FWC World Film Cup is held in 2022. It consists of an open call where the selected short films of any genre will meet one against one and a jury will decide which one advances to the next until reaching the grand finale and knowing the winner of the the fwc

Prize money to be announced at the start of the event.

FILM WORLD CUP – 2022

REQUIREMENTS

• The call is open from June 1 with partial closings on each platform and change of registration value, with a general closing on October 31, 2022.

• For the 2022 version, only short films of a maximum duration of 40 minutes in any genre (fiction, documentary, experimental), which have been released after January 2018, in any language and have Spanish subtitles, can participate.

• Productions that promote institutions or companies, or made for television in such a way that they contain big heads, advertising or cuts for commercial strip are not allowed.

• Submit the following material: poster, photo
of the director of the film and synopsis.

• If the short film is selected, the projection and/or download link must be sent, as the case may be, and the contact of the person who will represent the short film at the event for possible interviews.

• The selected productions must sign the exhibition authorization according to the annex that will be sent to the representatives of the productions to the registered emails.

DYNAMICS OF THE EVENT

1. Among the registered works, a selection will be made of those that due to their technical, artistic and narrative qualities, at the discretion of the curatorship, will go on to compete in the World Cup.

2. Among the group of selected short films, the elimination keys will be drawn in each stage by the simple elimination system.

3. A qualifying jury made up of professionals will make the selection of the productions that continue in the event.

4. The short films will be presented on a streaming platform for a limited time only.

5. The meetings will take place in the month of December 2022.

6. The winning short film will receive an economic recognition that will be announced at the close of the call plus a statuette whose shipping cost will be covered by the winner.
