London Fetish Film Festival (LFFF) is an annual event built on freedom of expression, welcoming submissions for curatorial selection through international open call.
We screen works focused on fetish culture - pure fixation, human pleasure and exploration. We promote cinematic values and artistic integrity which challenges conventionality.
Now in the 6th year of programming, LFFF desires to discover unexpected paraphilias, the strange, the subtle, the imaginatively erotic and the twists and turns of dark depravities. We see fetish as a lifestyle - a grounding of human nature in a society which is ever-censoring our desires as a community. LFFF has proudly grown roots in deconstructing UK-based censorship issues.
We acknowledge and promote the discussion of the deep rooted psychology in fetish, way beyond the classic image of rubber and whips (though of course we love that too). Film can show us inside the scene without even being explicit, taking on board the seriousness of practicing extreme kinks vs. comforting humour and beautiful vulnerabilities.
Emotional and physical connection, sexy simplicity and delicious compulsions of curiosity and animal instinct. These juxtapositions and open-minded-ness really highlight our community and whether you are just discovering it or it has been your home for years, we want to to go on a rollercoaster of a journey through the multiple realms of fetish being shocked, surprised, aroused or even inspired…. Though especially, EMPOWERED!
This is a call, for films addressing our festival’s themes:
- Kink, fetish, BDSM, erotica, sexuality, psychology and sex-working.
- Diverse range of stories and cinematic languages, ranging from drama to documentary, rampant camp comedy to arthouse experimental, mildly spicy to explicit.
- All applicants are invited to approach the themes in the most creative, innovative, irreverent and thought-provoking ways, unlocking taboos and stigmas about the fetish culture to a wider public.
