FICA – International Adventist Film Festival is a cultural platform that celebrates cinema as a space for reflection, dialogue, and hope.
In its first edition, FICA seeks stories of individuals who share Jesus with others in creative and authentic ways, carrying out their mission within everyday and unconventional contexts.
These films portray characters whose unexpected paths create meaningful impact in the lives of new believers and entire communities.
All selected stories will be presented in documentary format, emphasizing a human, intimate, and honest cinematic perspective.
The first-place winner will be awarded the opportunity to re-film their short film, originally produced using mobile devices, with professional cinematic equipment.
This process will be carried out through a peer-to-peer collaborative model, in which each creative role of the project will receive guidance from a professional filmmaker.
The director of the short film will work alongside a professional film director, and likewise, each creative department (cinematography, sound, production, among others) will receive direct mentorship throughout the process.
This award aims to strengthen audiovisual training, support emerging talent, and elevate the winning story to a new cinematic level.
???? This award applies exclusively to the first-place winner.
