Cinephone is a festival of short films made with mobile phone internationally and free theme that aims to bring filmmaking to a wider segment of the public with minimal economic costs.

HOW TO

The organization selects a maximum of 20 finalist short films about the films accepted in the official section. Cinephone has two awards and four special mentions about the finalists short films.

JURY AWARDS
A jury formed by professionals (outer to the festival organization) values the technical, narrative and originality and they decide the First and Second Jury Award.

The winner of the first prize will get direct access as a finalist of the Independent International Film Festival of Elche (FICIE) in its category MOBILE FILM MAKER

The organization of the festival among the highest rated short films finalists by the jury will decide who to give the following mentions :
- Best Script
- Best Photography
- Best Soundtrack
- Best Interpretation

CINEPHONE INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILMS FESTIVAL MADE WITH SMARTPHONE

If you have smartphone and if you like movies, you can create your own short film with your smartphone.


1. Cinephone is for filmmakers who make productions exclusively with Smartphone

2. The festival allows short films of all genre of cinema, accepts films of all types of cinema and genre (Drama, humour, sci fi, terror, narrative, experimental, animation, thriller)

3. There is no limitation on the number of films submitted by the same participant

4. The submitted short films must be shot with smartphone and it's very important indicate smartphone brand and model. It's allowed to use any software to editing, post-production or treatment of images

5. All persons or private spaces that appear in the short films must do so under their consent. We don't accept short films that containing discriminatory material and/or violate the dignity of persons.

6. The short films must be owned of the author or authors and unpublished earlier in the festival

7. The short films must not exceed 15 minutes

8. The short films must submitted through the online platform www.festhome.com

9. All non-English foreign-language films must be subtitled in English (and if possible in Spanish) The foreign-language films that are selected as finalists must be subtitled in Spanish.

10. The period for submission of short films is from February 1 to July 31 of current year. The films submitted after this date will not enter at current edition of the festival

11. Participants agree Reproduction and dissemination of their short films with informative or promotional purposes related to the festival

12. The Cinephone International Smartphone Film Festival requests a small contribution of $10 dollars to all participants to cover the costs of managing the festival


The Jury and/or the organization reserves the right to modify the rules or declare the contest void if it thinks fit

Taking part in the festival implies acceptance of these rules
