One of the main motivations for launching the Festival is to turn its eyes towards a community and a territory that in the past was besieged by armed groups outside the law. San Bernardo is today a community that, besides being surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, has enormous potential in agricultural, tourist, cultural and community issues.

We look for productions that approach through fiction, documentary or animation, themes that include popular knowledge, traditions, practices, customs, manifestations and rural problems of Colombia.

NATIONAL SHORT FILM - COLOMBIA
Short films made by collectives, filmmakers, producing houses that represent in their thematic productions that include popular knowledge, traditions, practices, customs, manifestations and rural problems of our country.

Recognition
1st Place: One million pesos ($ 1,000,000)
2nd Place: Five hundred thousand pesos ($ 500,000)
3rd Place: Three hundred thousand pesos ($ 300,000)


IBAGUÉ SHORT FILM (local)
We invite you to participate to the corregimientos, paths and neighborhoods of the Municipality of Ibagué that have made a short film with themes that include popular knowledge, traditions, practices, customs, manifestations and rural problems of the Municipality of Ibagué.

Recognition
1st Place: One million pesos ($ 1,000,000)
2nd Place: Five hundred thousand pesos ($ 500,000)
3rd Place: Three hundred thousand pesos ($ 300,000)

LOCAL SHORT FILM
We want to see on our screens stories close to our territory. This category is intended for short film productions developed in San Bernardo corregimiento 12 of the Municipality of Ibagué. Children and young people with a maximum age of 15 years can participate.

Bases of the Call


Short films of the documentary, animation and fiction genres, completed after January 1, 2017 and with exhibition rights, may participate.
The minimum duration is 3 minutes and maximum of 15 minutes. The language must be Spanish or subtitled in Spanish, if it is not the original language.
Comply with the technical standards that ensure its reproduction and screen projection.


Registration


Registration for any of the modalities will be open from June 25 to August 5, 2019. The rules of the call can be reviewed at https://festicinesanbernardo.com/concurso-de-cortometrajes/
It is necessary to fill out the registration form directly on the Festival website.
The reception of short films will be made through private links or password protected Vimeo, YouTube. The address of the link must be attached in the registration form.
The inscription to the Contest has no value.
The San Bernardo Film Festival will confirm via email the selected participants the acceptance of the short film. Those selected will be announced on August 30, 2019.
The selected participants must send a digital file of better quality for the exhibition during the Festival.
The registration of a Short Film in any of the categories implies accepting the bases of the Festival.
The organization reserves the right to suspend or modify the Festival if applicable. If this happens, the participants will be notified.
Presentations


The short films will be an official part of the III San Bernardo Film Festival and will be exhibited in the central park of Corregimiento at previously informed times. In addition, they may be part of special Festival shows, held in other townships of the Municipality of Ibagué, dates and times; The filmmakers will always be informed of these projections.

The short films received will be part of the archive of the San Bernardo Film Festival, which will use it, exclusively and exclusively, for cultural, educational, and non-profit research, educational and didactic activities.

The third version of the Festival will be held from August 13 to 18, 2019
