FECLAC 2014


The Cultural Corporation of Las Condes and Chile's Association of LL, ACORCH, call for the 2nd Festival of short films of the counts FECLAC CHILE 2014, which will be held in November this year at the Centro Cultural Las Condes.

Once again, the winner of the national fiction category will be invited to participate, with all expenses paid, in the laboratories of Digital creation, of the Corts Off short film Festival, to be held in France from 2015.

Among the novelties of this version, stands the incorporation of an international competition, which will award to the best short film made anywhere in the world.


GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS


1 may take part in national and international short films up to 30 minutes in length, including credits.


2 short films not should have been released before January 1, 2012.


3. the works not should have been nominated in the previous version of the festival.


4. Once posted the list of selected official competition, withdrawals from the festival will not be accepted.


5. nominations shall be made exclusively by the Fest Home Platform, not accepting other application platforms.


6. the format of submission and display will be file MOV HD, high quality and low compression codec H.264.


7. the only form online via Fest Home makes effective acceptance of the rules of participation in FECLAC.


8. the decisions of the jury are final.


9. any circumstance that is not subscribed at the bases will be decided by the organization.


10. the call will be open until October 5.


CATEGORIES

1. in the national competition, the categories are:
(a) fiction
b) animation
(c) documentary

2. the international competition will only have the category "Best short film", which may run short films of fiction, documentary and animation of the five continents.

3 special category national Fiction Prize


The national fiction category also has a special prize which consists of participation, with all expenses paid, of the director of the winning film in the laboratories of Digital creation, of the French Off Courts festival, to be held in Trouville, in 2015. In that encounter involved a score of filmmakers from every continent, who gather each year to produce short films. This festival offers each filmmaker cameras, lights, locations, actors and post-production, to make a short film in three days.

This award is presented jointly by ACORCH, which establishes a special agreement with the Festival Off Courts, and the Cultural Corporation of Las Condes, which brings the cost of airfare for the winner.

The winner of the fiction category must demonstrate before you travel by personal interview, the domain of English or French medium level.

No evidence level of necessary language or in any event that prevents the winner to travel to France, will be running a list of replacements left by the jury for such purposes.


INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION CONDITIONS

Works which do not have dialogues in Spanish, can be run with SUBTITLES in English or Spanish. Works that are not spoken in Spanish, or do not have subtitles in Spanish or English will not be revised.

All selected works producer must have copy of display with SUBTITLES in Spanish.


NOMINATIONS

1. the application to the festival will cost US $3.5 for free and foreign for Chileans.


2. nominations may be made from August 1 to October xxx, date on which the material is held by the Organization of the festival. Works received after that date will not be considered.
