Regulations of the Venezuelan Festival of University Short Films 3rd Edition 2025
Caracas, May 13 to 17

University students will participate representing the University where they are pursuing their degree, regardless of the connection that said university degree has with audiovisual art. REGISTRATION TO THE FESTIVAL IS FREE

1. The originals will be strictly unpublished, not previously awarded in another film competition, nor subject to any editing commitment.

 THE FOLLOWING MODALITIES ARE ESTABLISHED:

 FICTION, with a maximum time of 30 minutes.

 ANIMATION, with a maximum time of 12 minutes.

 DOCUMENTARY, with a maximum time of 30 minutes.

2. The making of the short film must be made up of 51% verifiable university students with proof of studies.

3. Only short films from students studying the university undergraduate degree of any major and mention will be accepted.

4. A call will be held from February 15, 2025 to April 15, 2025 where all students will be able to pre-register their duly identified short films. Through a registration form provided by the FVCU 2025 edition. 5. Once the call is closed, a team of curators from the FVCU 2025 will give us the official selection of the short films that will participate in competition mode in the 3rd Edition of the Venezuelan Festival of University Short Films 2025.

6. The Official Selection will be announced on April 30 through the social networks and other media of FVCU and Kreaton productions C.A.

7. The jury will be made up of people of recognized solvency in the audiovisual field and will be announced in a timely manner.

8. The Festival may use fragments (up to 3 minutes, if applicable) of the participating works for promotion and dissemination through any media.

9. In the pre-registration form, students must attach a viewing and download link (preferably from Google Drive): Technical Sheet of the Film, poster, advertising graphic material, 1 good quality photograph of the main participants of the short film and trailer.

10. Short films must have a production date between 2023, 2024 and part of 2025

11. Public and private universities can participate in this festival.

13. The winners will receive an award and certificate from the festival and many surprises.
