Second edition of the International University Festival (FICU) organized by the Department of Audiovisual Arts of the National University of the Arts.

The objectives of the FICU are to exhibit and disseminate the news and perspective of the university cinema. Encourage professional film production in the university community.
Offer a space for meeting and exchange between young university filmmakers, experts in the field of cinema and public assistant.

The jury will award the Pier Paolo Passolini Award for the best film of the competition, and the Leonardo Favio Award for the best film directed or produced by a student of the Department of Audiovisual Arts.
It will be up to the jury to submit the number of mentions they think are necessary.
The students and graduates of the Audiovisual Department of the National University of the Arts will also compete for 6 prizes corresponding to the 6 orientations that are currently being studied in the Department: Direction, Photography and Camera, Script, Assembly, Production and Audiovision (Sound).

The competition is open to students and recent graduates of all national and foreign universities.

The works must be registered by its director or producer, who will be responsible for the work before the Festival.

The theme is free. Short films and feature films will be accepted, both fiction and documentary and animation, after January 1, 2017 and that have not participated in the previous edition of the festival.

The Festival is academic and non-commercial, with competitive categories and samples. All sections of the festival are open to the public and are free.

Films not spoken in Spanish should have subtitles in this language.

Once the audiovisual work has been registered, the person in charge authorizes the International University Film Festival to exhibit the works during the festival and to be included and projected in other forums or cinematographic exhibitions within the academic and non-profit sphere, as well as for the broadcast through the university TV channel by streaming DATV belonging to the Department of Audiovisual Arts of the UNA.

It also authorizes the Department of Audiovisual Arts of the UNA to use up to 3 (three) minutes of the works registered for the dissemination of the Festival (Open TV, cable, Digital TV or Internet). The organizers undertake to mention the name of the author and title of the work each time it is displayed.

The material presented for participation in the FICU will not be returned and will be integrated into the video library of the Audiovisual Arts Department of the National University of the Arts (UNA).
The presenters of the registered works must be responsible for the authorship of their work, assuming that the film or project must be unpublished or have the rights due. In case there is a violation, it will result in the disqualification of the same. In case of any problem regarding the authorship of the projects enrolled, even already exhibited, the International University Film Festival disclaims any responsibility.

Both the jury and the Selection Committee will be appointed by the authorities of the Department of Audiovisual Arts of UNA.
