FESTIVAL REQUIREMENTS


Film Submissions are non-returnable for any reason.



If a film is accepted, entrants will be solely responsible for delivering their exhibition video materials to and from the festival venue.

Complete press kits will be needed as soon after notification as possible. FOR RAINBOW cannot be held liable for your exhibition print/video materials which are lost or damaged.



A list of dialogs – in English – of the selected films must be sent by September 4th, 2015 so that electronic subtitles may be done.

We may use up to 30sec of the submitted film for advertising purposes.

The decision of the festival is final.

 Please note festival dates are subject to change.


Selected films will be competing for Artur Guedes Trophy.

The list of selected films will be released officially by August 31th, 2015.


Unfortunately, FOR RAINBOW does not provide room, board or travel for filmmakers.


1) Films completed after January 1st, 2014 related to human sexuality in its various forms of expression.



2) Running time:

Short Pictures - until 20 min (included titles) -

Feature movies - Over 70 min



3) Country of production: All countries* 



4) Festival Screening format: DCP (2.0 or 5.1 sound) or H264 Fullhd – stereo sound



5) Genres accepted: All genres



6) Films that won prizes or were screened before at other festivals can be submitted.



7) There is no limitation on the number of films to submit



*Unless dialogues are in Portuguese, the film should have English or Spanish subtitles.
