Imaginary Realities II Film Festival for the town of Yecla (Murcia).

A festival aimed at secondary school students. For ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education) and Bachillerato (Upper Secondary Education) students.

This festival is part of YECLA EN CORTO, which is held annually.

“IMAGINARY REALITIES 2026”

RULES FOR PARTICIPATION

The Cine Club Odeón of Yecla with the Yecla town hall through the secondary schools of Yecla — “Felipe VI”, “Castillo Puche” and “Azorín” — and the schools “La Inmaculada” and “San Francisco”, presents the short film festival “Imaginary Realities II – Year 2026.”

Festival Dates: The festival will take place during May 2026.
Filmmakers who are residents of Yecla or students at any educational center in the town may participate.

1. OBJECTIVE

The main objective of this film festival is to promote short films as a form of audiovisual expression, contribute to their recognition and dissemination, and provide an opportunity for filmmakers to exhibit and showcase their works connected to Yecla.

2. GENERAL CONDITIONS

All submitted short films must meet the following requirements.

DURATION

Maximum 10 minutes, including credits.

PRODUCTION DATE

The film must have been produced after January 1, 2025.

LANGUAGE

Short films may be submitted in any language, provided that the competition version includes Spanish subtitles. This requirement is mandatory.

3. SUBMISSION DEADLINE AND PROCESS
SUBMISSION

IMAGINARY REALITIES FESTIVAL 2026

Films must be submitted for selection through the official platform FESTHOME.

DEADLINE

The new submission deadline for short films will be April 30, 2026.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

All submitted works must include the following information on the platform for download:
(Only the film link and a copy of the ID are mandatory; the rest is optional)

Title

Synopsis (8–10 lines)

Year of production and nationality

Director’s information and biofilmography

Technical and artistic credits

Full name of the contact person

Address – phone number – email of the contact person

Website (if available)

Other relevant information

Photographs from the film and of the director in JPG format, minimum 300 dpi resolution

Poster (if available)

Trailer (if available)

Links to the short film*

Copy of ID card or passport*

4. SELECTION OF WORKS

The works that reach the final competition phase will be selected by the Jury members.

From among the selected works, a further selection will be made for screening.

Once the selection and nomination process is completed, participants will be notified of the screening date via email or phone.

5. JURY

IMAGINARY REALITIES FESTIVAL 2026

The Festival Organization will appoint the juries for the different competitive sections, and their decisions will be final.

6. FILM REQUIREMENTS
PROGRAMMING AND SCREENING RIGHTS

The organization reserves the right to screen the selected films in as many public sessions as it considers appropriate.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES

Submitting a film to the II “Imaginary Realities” Festival of Yecla implies full acceptance and compliance with these Rules of Participation and any possible annexes.

7. AWARDS
FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD SHORT FILM

Odeón statuette award for the three best films

€150 – Best Short Film

€100 – Second Best Short Film

€50 – Third Best Short Film

ONE YEAR OF FREE CINEMA ON THURSDAYS

All participants will receive one year of free cinema for all films screened by Cine Club Odeón.

A personalized membership card will be issued to enjoy this prize.
