The Kurzfilmwanderung exists since 2014 an first originated as a project within Stadtkarawane e.V. The association is looking to connect humans that otherwise possibly never would’ve met to try to identify what makes a city a community space: the people who populate and create it. In the past years the Kurzfilmwanderung has evolved into a sovereign project and is supported by both the Kulturverein des Hausprojektes Wurze as well as the Stadtteilladen Wasserschaden e.V. in Leipzig.

BLUEPRINT

A blueprint is a reproduction of an architectural or engineering plan.
Paper turns blue when exposed to the light.
Where a stencil protects the paper from the sun, it will remain white.
A photocopy serving itself as a template.
The question of orientation arises somewhere in between,
where and by what, why and for what - and how did it all begin?
We are looking for films addressing the concept of the blueprint in terms of content and/or technically. No matter if feature, animated or experimental film, as long as its length does not exceed 20 minutes. The selected films will be projected outdoors at several locations in one of Leipzig's neighborhoods during the 9th edition of the Kurzfilmwanderung. The entire audience will walk from film to film through the night. We look forward to receiving your applications.

Entry deadline is May 15th 2023.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Submissions
Please submit your short film using our online-form at kurzfilmwanderung.de/en/call/. The deadline for all entries is May 15, 2022.

Technical requirements
Running time: max. 20 minutes
Video Format: all formats including Full HD
max. bitrate 30 mbps (mkv, mov, avi, mp4)
Audio format: AAC/OGG/PCM
Subtitles: please caption nongerman-speaking films

Feedback
We are presumably going to inform all participants by the end of June about our choice.

Copyright
All participants are required to own all copy rights for the once mailed in film. By participating the producers are allowing us to show the film non-commercially.

Travel expenses
In case of self-organised travel of the producer, a reimbursement of 30€ will be offered. Board and lodging provided on site.
