The 1st Annual FESTHOME SHORT FILM FESTIVAL (FSFF) is scouring the globe for the most provocative independent films around. Underground cinema, art films, innovative and experimental work, guerrilla projects, and politically controversial films are welcomed with open arms.

AGREEMENT TO SUBMIT FILM TO THE FESTHOME SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

This agreement is between FESTHOME SHORT FILM FESTIVAL and ___________ (“Film Maker”). I. AGREEMENT TO SCREEN MOVIE

Film Maker hereby releases _________________________to be screened at the 2011 FESTHOME SHORT FILM FESTIVAL from Dicember 19- 23.

Film Maker agrees that he/she shall receive no compensation for said screening, other than the screening itself.

Film Maker agrees that FSFF can use still pictures, posters, and short segments of the film for publicity purposes by FSFF.

Film Maker acknowledges that he/she retains the right to distribute the material in question. Film Maker acknowledges he/she has authority to enter into this agreement. II. DISPUTES. Any controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be settled by mandatory arbitration. All controversies shall first be submitted to a mutually agreeable mediator. If the parties are unable to resolve their differences through mediation, within sixty days from written demand for mediation, the dispute shall be arbitrated. The parties shall pick a single mutually agreeable arbitrator. If the parties cannot agree on a single arbitrator the Chief Judge of the First Judicial District for London shall be requested to appoint a single arbitrator. The arbitration shall take place in London. Any award or judgment, including injunctive relief, rendered in arbitration will be final and binding and may be entered and enforced by any court having jurisdiction thereof. The cost of mediation shall be borne equally by the parties. The non-prevailing party of the arbitration shall pay the attorney fees and costs to the prevailing party of the arbitration. III. NOTICES. Any notice under this Agreement shall be in writing and shall be effective when actually delivered in person, or three days after being deposited in the U.K. mail, registered or certified, post pre-paid, and addressed to the party at the address stated in this Agreement, or such other address as either party may designate by written notice to the other. IV. GOVERNING LAW. The law governing this Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of United Kingdom. V. PRESUMPTION. This Agreement, or any section thereof, shall not be construed against any party due to the fact that said Agreement or section thereof was drafted by said party. VI. PRIOR AGREEMENTS. This document is the entire final and complete agreement of the parties and replaces all prior or existing written and oral agreements between the parties or their representatives relating to this Agreement.
