Festival Internacional de Cinema da Figueira da Foz - Film Art, , is an independent film festival. It is committed and dedicated to the showcase of both emerging and established, national and international filmmakers’ work, within the world of independent cinema. The organization committee is proud of its independence and ethics in the official film selection.

Films must be completed from March, 1st 2018 onward, whatever the genres

The duration of submitted works must meet the following criteria:

Feature and Documentary – more than 60 minutes;
Short Film feature - under 60 minutes;

Children film – 50 to 70 minutes
Video Clip –under 5 minutes;
Schools – no length restrictions

Only the entry in one category by film will be validated, and who submits is free to choose the category of registration. However, the final decision will be taken by the Organization Committee.


For the film that are not in Portuguese language sending a file with Portuguese or English subtitles is mandatory



FFA does not require World Première, but we will welcome and pay special attention to films that have never been screened, at least in Portugal.
Films that have been published on social networks will be excluded from FICFF-FA 2019

The entry must be duly legalized regarding Copyrights.

The 2019 selection will be announced on 16th June.

The Conquistapanorama – Associação Cultural, as responsable for the organization of FICFF-FA 2019 subsidizes the expenses of the director or his representative, while staying in Figueira da Foz

General Agreement- Participation in Festival Internacional de Cinema da Figueira da Foz -Film Art 2019

I have read and accept the rules and terms of FICFF-FA 2019.

I am willing to provide the festival all necessary information in accordance with these rules and terms.

I authorize the organization of the FICFF-FA 2019 to show my film, and if selected, I confirm that a screening copy will be available in digital format for screening during the FICFF-FA in 2019 to 15th June.

I certify that I own all rights to the presentation of this film / video for the FICFF-FA 2019 and that all rights and authorizations have been obtained. This film is not subject to any dispute, or is threatened by any litigation, assuming all legal responsibilities.

By agreeing to these terms, I transfer to the FICFF-FA in 2019 the right to use excerpts of the submitted film and its images, for advertising and marketing of the Festival Internacional de Cinema da Figueira da Foz - Film Art 2019, and other non-commercial purposes related to the promotion of the 2019 edition and the projection of the same from the 5th to 15th September 2019.
