ARTICLE 1- PARTICIPANTS
The call is open to both professional directors and amateurs, European or non-European citizens, aged not over 35.

Directors can submit their film in only one of the categories mentioned below. The jury reserves the right to move any short film or music video under a different category from the one it was originally submitted in, in order to prevent the categories from lacking homogeneity.

ARTICLE 2 - ENTRIES
Films and music videos must not exceed 10 minutes in length, including credits, can be shot with any device and can deal with any topic.
All entries must be uploaded on Festhome www.festhome.com or on other dedicated online platforms or sent on DVD at the address provided in article 5, preferably in .mov format, without Apple Intermediate Codec. Taglia Corti does not ensure the maintaining of the original quality of the entry during the screening, in case it was uploaded in a different format than .mov.

The directors must ensure themselves of the good quality of the digital media, under penalty of exclusion from the competition. The short films and music videos can be any genre.
Foreign-language entries must be presented with Italian or English subtitles, under penalty of exclusion from the competition.


ARTICLE 3 - CATEGORIES
The categories of the 2016 edition of “Taglia Corti 7” are the following:

- Cortometraggi (short films) – short films that can deal with any topic and must not exceed 10 minutes in length.
- Videoclip musicali (music videos) – music videos shot by professionals or amateurs.

When applying, the directors must submit their entry in one of the two macro-categories (Cortometraggi or Videoclip musicali). Taglia Corti will assign entries into a subcategory afterwards.


ARTICLE 4 – HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITION
The participants must enclose to their entries:
• The printed application form duly filled in.
• A copy of a valid ID
Furthermore, the following must be enclosed:
• a short synopsis of their short film or music video;
• a short description of their short film or music video (maximum 30 lines);
• two stills from the short film or music video;
• the director’s biography;
• the director’s curriculum vitae.

All the participants must print the application form, fill it in, sign it, scan it and then upload it on Festhome.com or on other dedicated online platforms, enclosing the synopsis, the description, the stills and the copy of their ID.
Alternatively, the participants can mail the material mentioned above on digital medium, together with the DVD of the film and the printed application form duly filled in
The above-mentioned contents may be used to advertise the competition at the discretion of the organization.

The application form, duly filled in and signed, functions as authorization for RadioInCorso to the handling of the applicant’s personal details in accordance with decree law n. 196 of 30th June 2003 and following amendments.

In case of underage participants, a parent or guardian must countersign the application form and a copy of his/her ID must be enclosed.

All the material mentioned above, duly filled in, must be enclosed to the entries, under penalty of exclusion from the competition.


ARTICLE 5 - DELIVERY ADDRESS AND APPLICATION DEADLINE
The participants must upload the entries and the enclosed documents (see art. 2 and 4) on the website Festhome.com or mail them at their own expenses to the address:

The deadline is 10th February 2016 and all the entries must be postmarked by that date, under penalty of exclusion from the competition.

RadioInCorso reserves the right to extend the deadline, which will be published on the website of the competition www.tagliacorti.it.


ARTICLE 6 – SELECTION OF THE FINALIST ENTRIES
Upon the expiration of the deadline (art.5), a committee chosen by the Organisation will select the finalist entries for each category. There is no restriction to the number of entries selected as finalists. The finalists of each category (art. 3) will be screened on the final night.

The list of finalist entries will be published by the first week of March 2016 on the website of the competition (www.tagliacorti.it).


ARTICLE 7 - JURIES
Two juries will participate in the selection of the finalists; one for the short films and the other for the music videos.

The members of both juries will be selected by the Organisation and their names will be put up on the website of the competition.
The awarding of prizes and special mentions becomes binding upon the final decision of the juries.(art. 8).


ARTICLE 8 - PRIZES
The prizes of the 2016 edition of “Taglia Corti 7” are the following:
- Award for the Best short film, € 600,00
- Award for the Best music video, € 400,00

The prizes will be awarded by two juries of prime quality (art.7).

Prizes do not include taxes.
Additional prizes may be added to the list during the competition at the discretion of the organization.


ARTICLE 9 – CONTESTS AND SIDE PROJECTS
The signing of the rules and regulations of Taglia Corti 2016 implies the agreement to participate in any contest or side project proposed by the Organisation or by its partners, under penalty of exclusion from the competition.


ARTICLE 10 – STORAGE AND USE OF CONTENTS
Though committing to the custody of the works, the organization of the competition shall not be held liable for thefts, damage or losses. After the competition, the works will not be returned and will become a part of the archive of the RadioInCorso association. Therefore, they will be available for future projections or for publication on the website of the association or on the website of the competition.


ARTICLE 11 - RESPONSIBILITY AND RESTRICTIONS
Works will not be accepted which are manifestly against the law; are in bad taste or have vulgar, obscene or offensive contents or hurt in any way anybody’s feelings; have a racist content or incite hatred, violence or contain false, incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information; request or imply a compensation; violate in any way the rights of third parties, including author's rights; constitute a form of direct or indirect advertisement of any commercial activity or profit-making activity.

Authors will be held personally liable for the content of their work.


ARTICLE 12 - CONTROVERSIES
The organization of the competition holds the right to settle controversies or issues not established in the regulation.


ARTICLE 13 – ACCEPTANTE OF RULES AND REGULATIONS
Application for and participation in the competition imply full acceptance of the above rules and regulations.
